Unprofessional bodyguard

Being a body guard for some rich guys daughter in a video game was not something I would have honestly said I would be doing.

Yet my hobby had earned me this job. They wanted someone with an already high leveled character to follow her around. Of course they didn't want her interacting with a guy so I was hired despite not being the highest level.

I was paid generously so I made sure I was right where I needed to be for the girl to arrive right out of the tutorial. My job was to prevent her from being assaulted or falling foul to one of the countless species that would turn her into their breeding cow. There was even a bonus for every encounter she had if she was unaware of the sexual danger.

I figured it would be easy, just guide the noob into the safe areas where she wouldn't get spontaneously groped. But then I saw her...

She was the rabbit kin race. The race that got horny at even the slightest bit of anything sexual. Not to mention the act of sex itself caused ovulation making them perfect breeders for... well anything that didn't lay eggs. The instant she saw me she pouted... I had to admit she was absolutely adorable though. "I told him not to send anyone! It's just a game, don't know why he is always so protective."

She sighed and addressed me directly. "Fine, if you are paid to stick around me then do that, but don't interfere."

She huffed turning away and I sighed, I didn't realize that I had to be approved before she would let me stick around. But I still felt relieved as I got in step just off to the side behind her. I could already feel my dread as she walked straight into the forest.

She didn't stop to get armor upgrade her sword or even go by the job board to start making money. I was keeping an eye on the surroundings. There were a lot of sexual threats to look for in the forest, but a wolf? Nope they only fucked dog or wolf folk, a rabbit kin would just end up as food. Might be painful but my job was to ensure she was sheltered from the sexual activities not interfere with her playing the game.

But she was still an adorable girl... The instant she got pounced on by the wolf she started to cry and I felt like the villain watching the beautiful perfect rabbit ear get almost torn off as she ran away. I was a mage so I cast a spell that would prevent her from taking damage, a magical shield burst up from around her.

She ended up beating the wolf with her sword turning and with her head down she trembled. She then looked around spotted me still there and glared at me. "Why didn't you help me! Aren't you supposed to protect me?!" She had left her sword behind to approach me. She had an obvious bite mark on her ear where it had taken a chunk off.

But I didn't have to protect her. "I did protect you, but I was not hired to protect you. I would have just felt bad watching you die like that. I am here to ensure you are safe."

She must have not been happy about that as she logged out instantly. She fell face first into the dirt and I sighed. I collected her and carried her back towards town. Avoiding the groper bush which was in fact not a bush but a tentacle monster in disguise. Or the goblins hunting for unsuspecting players. I then received a request to review my footage, no doubt the girl was complaining about me. So I made sure to highlight all the possible sexual threats I had noticed in my videos before I sent it.

A few hours later I received a confirmation that I did my job correctly and that despite what the girl had said I would not be replaced.

I would be disappointed if that happened but in the end I didn't mind so much if that was the case.

A slimy guy showed up seeing me carrying the obvious noob and wanted to buy her. Of course I kicked him away.

I ordered a room at an inn and left her in it as I got my own room and logged out.

I stretched sitting up in my brand new pod. They had bought me one just so I would always be available whenever the girl was playing.

I had always liked reading fantasy of all kinds, in the end I read too much in the dark and ruined my eye sight. So I put my glasses on and went to my bathroom. I stared at myself in the mirror. I looked every bit the sorry excuse of a woman I felt. My chest was big but that was it for positives, my time spent indoors left my skin a bit too pale. With many hours hunched over tables my posture didn't exactly shout I was in great condition. But I had a job now, so I could work on improving these things...

I turned away before I thought of how I hadn't gotten a date in years. I sat by the pod having a quick snack as I waited for the call that the girl was going back into the game. I felt more confident as my game character, like the heroine from one of my books... I blushed as I realized that it was more likely it was from one of those porn novels. It certainly fit... Untouchable, powerful, and beautiful woman has to protect the innocent girl from all kinds of-

My phone buzzed, it was time to log back in. I threw the thoughts away and laid back down in the pod, I wasn't gone long so nothing had changed. Including the fact the girl hadn't left her room yet.
