“Sure,” said Sakura almost as chipper as Mei was, while looking at a screen. “Let’s see… found it! Apparently, there was a small glitch during your time time travel, Mei. You see, your invisibility field was supposed to travel with you to 1985, but it was accidentally sent to 1885. It ended up with president Cleveland, which resulted in him “disappearing” for a week.”

“Oh my,” laughed Mei, “He must have been so confused!”

Gary was shocked! How could she be this cavalier with time travel?!

“Anyway,” continued Sakura, “this means you’ll be spending your week visible. My apologies for the inconvenience.” Sakura bowed before her.

“Don’t be, Sakura.” Reassured Mei, “I only took my invisibility field with me because the travel guide recommended it. My nanobots protect me against any rude people, and I’m sure my new friend Gary will help me out as well.” Mei firmly hugged Gary.

With that, Sakura shrank, until she disappeared.

“Can I stay with you this week? You are really nice and I can already tell that we’re gonna be the bestest of friends!” Asked Mei, with a facial expression that’d make a puppy dog envious.
