Unfamiliar trees

Jant woke up as the morning sun filtered through the trees. She groaned as she was disturbed by the yellow ball but she realized that something was off when the grass teased her skin. She pushed herself up fast her lower body jumping up.

She did find a large willow tree that would hide her from others and be a good place to camp. Just in time too as the night was fast approaching. Jant saw a small humanoid shadow go back behind the curtain of leaves. Now she was afraid again. Here she was a naked centaur in an unknown forest with only a branch to defend herself. What if he wasn’t alone. She panicked and bolted from her spot into the dark forest.

She did her best to dodge the trees and the roots but her luck didn’t hold out. She slammed into a boulder she failed to see in the darkness. Her head made a loud crack as she fell her legs unable to carry her in that split second.

“Fucking damn it” she cried as tears welled in her eyes before falling the pain being near unbearable. She cursed her self at how stupid and lucky she was. Normally you would have broken your neck from an impact like that.

She tried to get up to continue fleeing but she was too unsteady. She decided that it would be best to just stay down and sleep where she was. As she did her best to get comfortable she whispered one last thing. “What a shitty start to a new life.” Then sleep took her.
