Chapter 18 by TVWintergreen TVWintergreen

What's next?

Unfair

You wondered what would have happened if you never opened that book while the sounds of hooves stampeded all around you. Clashing blades rang out over everything and in the distance you could see Milk and Saedi fighting admirably against Khan, but still losing. The Centaur fought in a way that was peculiar. You thought to add it to the guide, just in case your past self would have to read it for a hint at success. As you opened it however the filled pages made your heart sink. So many such tips already existed. You began to shake as you wondered out loud.

“H-how many times have I lost already? H-how many?”

'Centaurs have a peculiar way of fighting. One would underestimate them with no knowledge of warfare and Soma. I had no idea, as well, until seeing them. By all accounts Centaurs should be extremely weak creatures. They exist as a “man” body in place of the head of a horse. So, how can a creature that can't even scratch it's own rear adequately defend itself in a fight? How can they be so threatening. Momentum is the answer. Centaurs fight by overwhelming their enemy with fast and hard attacks where the opponent does not have a chance to response. Thinking about it, it is essentially the effect of cavalry in my own world. This is coupled with the powers that creatures of this world have. They strengthen their bodies with Soma so that the chance to slow them down is so small and short. The momentum they take is what allows them to win so often against unsuspecting foes.' After that passage there is a note.

'If I have a chance to advise them and help them, stopping their momentum seems key.' It was in larger letters, practically highlighted for you to see. But the following passage was not promising.

'I advise everyone to stop them, and we succeed, but then their leader defends himself without moving. Saedi and Milk do not stand a chance. I do not have the knowledge to know if it is a matter of technique or strategy. I am starting to see the notes appear so now I know that all I have to do is observe and I can find a way to swing this on the next pass. The leader fights with a long weapon to guard his blind spots. If Milk can bind the mobility of that weapon Saedi can get in and strike where he can not reach.'

Again.

'Kicking is a problem. Khan's body is a weapon. His skin is hard from some ability I do not know about and Saedi got knocked out in one kick from behind as Milk bound him at the front. His attacks with both his weapons and his hooves look the same as when I use Hard-Step but effortless and more powerful. He uses it at the end of all his limbs and I do not know why I ever considered his hind-section a weakness. He has six limbs to work with. The only thing I can thing of is to somehow hold all six of them. At the same time, Milk can not be the diversion. No one else is strong enough to break his skin with an attack.'

Again.

'Milk failed to break his skin. The strength is, truthfully, too-'

Again.

'We failed to-

Again.

'There is nothing we can do. I feel something strong urging me to run. It is not my voice and it sounds exhausted with me, like it does not know why I am still here. Am I going crazy? What is this voice that is only just now speaking to me. I can not run.'

It kept going and going until finally the entries became strange. Though, to be exact, they were always strange. You were simply reading between the lines to find the important parts to you in the moments before battle. There were always paragraph upon paragraph of musings continuing for a small while after you lost. With the hints drying up you began to feel crushed into reading them for any hidden information. Instead, all you were treated to was the childish tone of your Centaur self mocking you for even trying.

-

You cocked your head to one side as you held the guide open. “Khan, this just keeps going. It's like I looking at future selves, what do you think?” You trotted up to Khan comfortably and rubbed yourself against him. His smell as you came this close was intoxicating and enough on it's own to send you into heat. You held the guide open by two fingers and showed it to him. He gave it a glance, but not much else.

“Who cares? Don't worry about stupid shit like that anymore.” He warned.

“Or, if you really think that's real write about all the stuff we're doin' together. Least until you get bored. Hah!” He joked. You loved his jokes and decided to write that down right away.

'I love Khan”s Jokes!' The you reading that in some other time screamed intenrally.

“Right?” You laughed, smiling brightly at him.

“H-hey...” You huffed.

“How about we try again. I don't know if your seed took yet...” Truthfully, you simply wanted to try for the sake of trying. All of the versions of you would be treated to the strange passages. The things written from the perspective of a woman who is completely smitten by her husband. Mind warping descriptions of sexual acts strange and alien, belonging only on the last pages of the internet where you are from.

'Centaur sex is like nothing else I”ve ever felt. Obviously. There is a certain lack of control involved in being unable to do anything in response to being mounted. Not that I want to do anything but lean back into my Khan”s juicy cock. It fills me completely. It”s the only thing that satisfies me. That satisfies “that” itch. I can never imagine doing it with anyone else.'

“What are you looking at, worm!?” You shouted down at the bound human captive. Sun. Since he cared for you while you were human you wanted to at least do the favor of inviting him into the tribe. Khan obliged but more Neonates needed to be created before that could happen. You panted as Khan rutted into you right in front of him. Tears filled his eyes and he tried not to look, but you would so often see his dead eyes wandering.

“E-Eve please-” He begged.

“Who's that again?” You mocked. Sun bit his lip and held his tongue. You felt your head being turned. You grinned and leaned back as Khan closed the remaining distance to kiss you from behind. It was difficult to kiss while fucking for Centaurs. It took effort and intent, so you appreciated it. Though, you knew so much of that intent was malice as he stared down at the agonizing Human male.

“Oh relax. He's just enjoying the show.”

You sighed lovingly. “Oh... Is that right? I'd better be louder for him then.”

“I'll help with that!” He rammed you hard until his tip pressed against your cervix, the four legs of your hind almost buckled under both the weight and the sensation, but you were too strong to fall completely without meaning to.

“Th-thank you so much!” You panted, letting your eyes roll up into your skull as one final thrust had him emptying his full load inside of you again. You were most certainly pregnant already, but Khan never seemed to want to stop trying, and neither did you.

“I-I just want it to end.” Sun begged.

You cupped your Horse ears as they twitched from the cries. “What's that?”

“Kill me. Seeing my Master, my friends and-” Sun began.

“And?” You teased, kneeling down before him to be more on his level. As you did, Khan wheeled around.

“You know, when you sit like that it makes me wanna...” He grunted.

“Eve-” Sun's eyes widened as his form was darkened by Khan's shadow. The Mammoth of a man stepped over him so that both of you were under him. The human was traumatized but you did not care one bit, because you were face to face with something you had only had in you up until this point.

“Oh my!” You ignored Sun and slathered his already soaked cock with your saliva, oblivious to the fact the Sun was shuddering while Khan's balls rested over his head. You sighed as he started wimpering.

“Relax, idiot. You'll join the tribe soonish. Cai's already mating and she's weak so a few Neonates will be born soon. At that point you'll get how great it is.

“Why.” He muttered.

“Hm?” You did not take a break from licking around Khan's deliciously crusted head, but you were listening idly.

“Why do you care about whether I feel great later? Why are you keeping me tied up like this after most of the men were killed... Why do you care?”

“That-” You cringed, remembering the things you two did before the attack. You clicked your tongue.

“Shut up!” You shouted angrily.

“Reminding me of stuff like that is so stupid! I'm obviously just doing it because I want to.” You smirked, stroking Khan's cock as you leaned down to bring your face closer to Sun's.

“I actually...” You blushed and felt a rush of euphoria.

“Ohhh... I actually really love to see your crying face, Sun. It makes me happy and warm.” You licked your lips sensually and abruptly leaned the rest of the way to kiss him. Your mouth was still soaked with sweat and cum so the taste must have been horrible for him. The look he gave after you pulled back made you feel horny all over again.

“Maybe I'll keep you like this.” You muttered, going to suck on Khan's cock with the intent of going in for another big kiss.

“That's enough.” A familiar voice called out. You rolled your eyes.

“Why's this has-been speaking to me. Khan told me what you were.” You groaned, glancing over to see a pained Milk.

“I already said, the only time I wanna see you is when you help pleasuring Khan.”

Milk's body shook. She was naked aside from a pair of humiliating cow-print stockings and a tight leather collar with a bell on the front.

“This... There's no way you can be this cruel.”

“Still upset I ruined your plan of bringing Khan under your spell. Having him drink your Milk directly would've worked if I didn't have the Guide.”

Milk slumped and gave a slight nod. “That's right. You should write down everything you do. Even if it's boring to you. Even if you don't care.” She smiled weakly.

“To taunt us.”

You giggled. “Okay! I planned to anyway.”

You pouted as Khan stepped off of you and walked over to Milk. “Now girls... I hate to see you fight.”

“That's a lie.” You said cheerily.

“Too true!” He cackled and gripped Milk by her cheeks. He leaned down and pushed his huge tongue into her mouth, almost **** her with it before pulling it out and licking all over her face, her neck, her breasts. He shoved her to the ground and had her face you as she lifted her ass submissively. You watched jealously as Khan used all the hard work you did to get him hard again just to ram into and break Milk's comparatively smaller body. She moaned and whined and you were bored so you wrote it down.

-

Milk being fucked over and over again right in front of you. On the ground, bent over, between you and Khan. No longer a friend but a thing, a tool for enjoyment and pleasure. All that is written in the guide is that you feel jealousy and arousal. No pity or empathy. You drop the book from your hands and let it fall shut.

“Monsters... Even I-”

To at least save Milk you feel as if fleeing would be the best option. The voice in your head rang out louder than ever. 'Stupid child! Just RUN away. The only way forward is-'

“To run...” Your lip quivered at the injustice of it all as the battle once again began. Things would play out the same way over and over again so saving Milk and yourself should at least have been a priority, but then there was Cai and Saedi. There was Hao. There was even Sun. Sun, who had grown on you against all of your expectations. You remembered his hands pushing those sweet smelling flowers into yours, along with the bowl he prepared. His bright smile. You felt like dying. Your eyes began to shut slowly.

“So...” The battle faded into the background, somehow your mind was louder as you finished the last triggering thought.

“Unfair.” The word was like a whip that cracked inside your skull and throughout your whole body. You opened your eyes and stumbled forward.

“So unfair.”

The Traveler inhaled deeply. “That feels... Weird.” she flexed her muscles and tilted her head back to feel the warmth of the sun. The foreign warmth that she thought she had lost. There was none to find after her travel. The warmth did not touch her skin the same way it would a native. The air would not enter her lungs the same way, so breathing was not even necessary after so long but then why did she feel the need to. For once her body felt great, like it was home. It was an unusual and exciting sensation. Not just that, the foundation of the body felt incredible, like a gift that kept on giving. No matter how much she reached for there was still more and more energy. Not just that. Mana as well.

“Both?” She wondered out loud.

“Hah... Haha.”

'Run, you stupid child!' The voice again, thought the Traveler heard it for the first time. It sounded petulant and grading on her mind.

“Shut up...” She sighed, shaking her head.

“Run from what?” As she finally began to look around she saw the battle raging on. A smile crossed her lips.

“From this? Why?” To The Traveler, this also felt like 'home' and she began to laugh madly.

“Eve!” Sun called out from beside her. She did not turn.

“Eve!” For the second time, even if it was not her name she turned and felt annoyed, since it was directed at her. As she turned to look. He stepped back. Her expression looked off. At the start she looked forlorn and horrified by something. He saw her reading and only becoming more and more upset before the book finally dropped. As she looked at him now, though, she seemed truly unbothered. Even a little happy.

“Uh...” He was not sure what to say after he saw her eyes wider and her pupils bigger and more red than he had ever seen. They were almost glowing.

“Cute.” She commented, eyeing his body, then his face and his hair. To her he was a stranger, but also a beautiful boy.

“Give it here.” The Traveler held out her hand and made a beckoning motion. Sun felt too much pressure emanating from her to do anything but hand over his sword. As it landed in her hands she grinned maliciously.

“Good boy. Good choice.” It was the same thing she said to him before. She even gave him a similar pat on his blonde head, but it felt different this time.

“Since you're so smart, which side here is yours?”

“Eve, we're-”

“Hey.” She snapped back. Sun stopped speaking that instant.

“Why do you keep calling me that? I'm...” The Traveler covered her mouth. Her eye twitched.

“W-who took my name? What is my name!” She gripped her hair tightly and pulled some of it out in anger. She stared at the white locks.

“Who's BODY is this!?” She cracked her neck and pointed the tip of the sword at Sun.

“Was it you?”

“N-no! It wasn't, I swear. I don't know, but we can figure it out once things are safe. We'll all help you figure it out I promise!” Sun begged. The tip of the sword poked into his neck and his eyes shut tightly. He felt as if he could die at any second until he heard.

“Hehe. Gotcha. It's not like I didn't want to do this anyway.” After she said that Sun opened his eyes and she was gone.

-

You opened your eyes after passing out. Your brow lifted as high as it could go as your face was between Milk's breasts. She was hugging you tightly. On your sword arm Sun was holding it. On the other, Cai seemed to be holding on for dear life. You looked up and saw Milk's worried expression.

“Hey there, Meekling!” She said weakly.

“Welcome back.”

“Huh. Did I go somewhere?” You looked around and saw bodies. Some were cut up while others were simply ripped apart. Most of them seemed to be Centaurs. You gasped in relief.

“Oh! You all won! B-but how? It seemed so hopeless...” You felt something squish beneath your feat and realized what you were standing on top of. The body of Khan was recognizable due to how large it was but otherwise seemed completely unrecognizable. It was beaten, stabbed, torn up and every section of skin was bruised beyond belief wherever it was not opened with insides pulled out, or bone showing. You coughed and spat, getting a strange taste in your mouth. Blood.

“Ugh...” You touched your face and wiped. Milk tried to hold your hand to stop you but it was too late and you saw blood. It could not be yours. You felt fine. You looked over to see Saedi and the other Sect members humbled with their heads lowered. Saedi in particular seemed to be sweating with her tail stuck between her legs.

As Milk told you all of the things you did, and Sun relayed the things you said to him you could not believe it. But they would not lie. All you could do was listen and take it all in. Eventually Milk negotiated with the Sect and without you even doing anything that you could remember they were knelt down before you in the training yard as you were preparing to leave.

“We...” Saedi began with some difficulty. The Master was shaking.

“I knew that you were quite special. I just did not know to what extent.” She bowed her head.

“Thank you, Master, for aiding us at this time. Our Sect is in your dept. As your friend asked, we will never speak a word of anything that happened to anyone. It will be taboo to speak of. Anyone that lets slip any details will be dealt with.”

“Oh, well-” You tried to smile and connect with her as you could before but you saw that Saedi was no longer happy and cheerful around you. She was scared. You nodded.

“Thank you.” You offered sadly. Cai, even Sun had their heads lowered and seemed shaken. As you were about to turn you heard his voice.

“No! This is bullshit.” Sun shouted. He stomped towards you.

“Sun!” Saedi screamed. Before she could stop him he stepped into your space and hugged you tightly. You saw over his shoulder the look of horror in her eyes. You looked away and instead just focused on the short blonde hair tickling your cheek.

“I don't want to forget you. I don't want to have to not speak about you or pretend you were never here and never saved us! It's not fair.” He argued. You were about to hug hum back, but inhaled deeply and forcefully. You remembered the passages. All of the iterations where you tortured him relentlessly. You wondered if it was truly becoming a Centaur that changed you, or if it simply brought something out of you that always was there.

“Take me with you.” He begged. You were shocked.

“Sun... It's going to be really painful. I- don't know how many things I might do to you. Over and over again...”

“I don't care.” He insisted, pulling back to look her in the eyes that frightened him so much when he looked into them before.

“What you did was save us. You saved me. You helped me by beating me and I felt like a different person when I started to open up to being around you. It was really, really scary what we saw you do but...” He steeled himself.

“I think it's probably scaring you too. Knowing how you are. How kind you are and how much importance you put on helping us with no benefit to yourself. I don't want the fear of what you did outweigh the importance of what you DID. You shouldn't forget it. No one should.” He gritted his teeth and glowered back at the Sect, each member keeping their head down.

“Letting your fears drown out that fact in your minds. It's sick. I hate it. I'm leaving the Sect!” He uttered. Saedi kept her head down. She seemed to accept it.

It was selfish but you had already decided back in the forest at that time. You took Sun's hand and nodded.

“Y-yeah. Come with us, then.” As you said that he did not say anything else. He just turned and smiled so blindingly that you had to look away.

“Let's go, Sun.”

As you left you talked and talked about where you knew you were from and what had happened. Everything you knew. Since you had not yet gotten so far away you wanted to lay it all out so that he would still have the opportunity to turn back. At any moment you expected his hand to slip from yours and for his warmth to drift away from you, but he remained close. Quiet, but close. After a while it was unbearable that he had not said anything, so you finally stopped and turned around.

“Well?” To your surprise he did not look shocked or worried or any different. He was thinking.

“W-what?” You blushed.

He looked at you. “I'm trying to think of anything that could be a hint as to what's happening. If you're a Traveler, Eve, then we may need to find other Travelers. They might be able to give some insight.” It shook you just how unbothered he was.

“I- I just said all that... Are you not scared.”

He shook his head. “I already told you I'm not going to let any of those feelings bury all the good things you've done. All the good that you are.”

You furrowed your brow, looking to Milk, finally. “Y-you had a problem with Sun, before. Sorry, I didn't consult you.”

“Oh. I acknowledge him.” She said simply with a big smile. The air was like that of a mother who was smitten with her daughters boyfriend. You gave in.

“Alright. So... What do you think about the plan to find Travelers.”

“I don't like it.” Milk asserted.

“Most Travelers are crazy. I knew of a few back... Back in my time. There were three terrors that made the world Chaotic, since they wouldn't abide by the Compact I started. They interfered in everything and even started their own little country just to make it their sandbox. The three rulers were a thin androgynous guy with long, dark hair named August, A blonde man with curly hair that others just called 'The Cappadocian', then there was a girl with strawberry-colored hair that was the craziest of the bunch...” Milk looked Eve over closely as she spoke.

You nodded. “So... We find these people. Wait-” She rubbed her eyes.

“A little nation, huh... That didn't happen to get destroyed a while ago by a Cultivator, did it?”

“Ah, I actually remember that from history books. It was a big event. I think it was the first time they directly interfered in politics as adversaries. Wariness of cultivators increased after that.”

“But why, if the people running the country were Beasts?”

Sun shook his head. “I actually never heard of that part of it, if those events are related.”

You looked down. “So most people would just see that they went in and crushed a small nation without provocation.”

“That's how it was written... I guess I'm curious now, since it doesn't make sense for those books to be written like that.” Sun thought out loud.

“I don't approve of going to find that crazy trio, even if they are still alive.” Milk interjected.

“I just mean to find the community. They don't all live the same way, but they nicer they are the harder they are to find.”

“We could seek out the three easily, since they're famous, or go on a possible goose chase.” You summarized.
