I was driving to meet Lyn and Mio at a cafe. Mio was still on edge around us, so a public place is a good compromise for a date. When I walked in, I smiled at what Mio was wearing.

Wow, I've never seen her put this effort into her looks. Lyn looked great too, but it's nothing you haven't seen before.

"Hi girls" I said to them. Before I got over, Lyn wrapped me in a hug.

"I heard what happened. Just know, I will always love you" she said before we sat back down.

"Ok, I want to run over a few things first. Mio, tonight is about you. We want to know more about you. But if at any point you feel unsafe, just tell us and we'll let you leave" I said to her. She blushed and smiled.

"Thanks, that means a lot to me" she said.

I'll spare you the details of our talk. Mio is a different kind of nerd from Lyn or Amy. She's really into manga and anime. Personally, I've never seen the appeal, but everyone has their interests.

We talked for a while about different things, including my vision. However, this brought up a topic I was hoping to avoid.

"What's with Jasmine anyway?" asked Lyn, making me internally panic. Obviously I can't tell her the truth.

"What do you mean?" I asked her, trying to play dumb. Unfortunately, Lyn is too smart for that.

"She lives in your house, but isn't related or dating you. And she knows things she really shouldn't" said Lyn. Shit, I'm being backed into a corner.

"Lyn, leave him alone" said Mio. Saved by the bell. I then felt a hand rubbing on my leg. Mio's face heated up and she pulled away.

"Can we go somewhere more private. I need to talk to you two" she said. Of course we agreed.
