Turn your eyes to Stax.

"Kick her ass, Kis-sa!" Vex cheers.

Already the goblin has taken cover to assess her situation. Though unfortunately for her, the closest opponent is opponents plural in a certain manner of speaking, and as said before, Anubians are huntresses. They close the gap quickly, and Stax opens fire, narrowly missing one of the bodies. She sprints away, quickly grabbing the ladder of what's effectively a jungle gym, though the two bodies lurk around each side like hungry sharks.

"Come get me!" the goblin boasts with a foot up on the bar beside her. Her eyes dart left and right.

The moment one of Kis-sa's bodies leap up, Stax turns to fire, though doesn't pull the trigger. Instead, she rolls to the side, easily dodging the Anubian's poor aim, and instead fires where she knew a second would strike. This goblin has been traversing the dangerous wilderness for years, both fighting and coexisting with monsters. She's had to use anything as a weapon, anything as cover. And with ease, she strikes one of the bodies from the chest down to her stomach with a single spray before leaping from the obstacle to begin running once more.

Both bodies blush slightly as the one places her furred hands over her chest. The other, however, has her eyes on the fleeing goblin.

That's when she's truly taken off guard with a bold reminder of this contest's nature. It isn't a 1v1 competition. Behind the one body lands Jika, and she fires swiftly, though misses with the quick reflexes of Kis-sa. They're going to have to split their attention, unfortunately, leaving only their disadvantage behind.

Vex stomps her foot hard, leaving a noticeable imprint in the ground. "That's not fair!"

"This is literally what they're meant to do in this--" William tries to respond.

"You shut your mouth," she snaps back.

Though Stax doesn't have it much easier. As she flees, she spots Ariusia ahead. Now she has an opponent on both sides. In an attempt to take advantage of her own stature, she dives into a metal tube just big enough to fit her height while standing, which means both the mantis and one of the bodies of the Anubian are **** to meet on opposite sides. She clenches her teeth, grasps her gun tight, and hopes they don't team up on her instead.

Naturally, they do not. Ariusia doesn't seem like the type to do so. Immediately, with a wild grin, she leaps onto the tube with a bang, and fires at the oncoming Kis-sa. Strangely though, something other than water comes from the nozzle. It's white and viscous.

As the battle royale continues, your attention is drawn upward. There's a figure up in the sky not far away... and it's getting closer. Quickly. Your eyes widen, but in the very last moment, your instincts tell you not to dodge. Instead, you open your arms, and Alice suddenly crashing down into you. You're thrown to the ground with a painful thud, though you embrace her tight.

Vex leaps away, and William takes a quick step back.

With a groan, Alice raises her head and sits on your hips as you remain pinned beneath her. "I'm... sorry," she says quietly, and in her usual monotone voice. "I learned that I can project energy from my feet in a moment of panic."

"It's fine," you grumble. "I'm just glad you're okay."

A moment passes with blush on her cheeks before she shakes it away. "This new discovery aside, I have important news!" Quickly, she scrambles off your body and helps you back to your feet. "Kyle, I came as fast as I could," she says with a hand over where her missing ear would be beneath her hair. "It seems our allies back at Castle Phoenix have run into something strange."

"Really?" you ask. Not wanting to hesitate, you focus your mind, and tap your one eye in to link with the magical item you left behind.
