Turn 3

Anjali scribbled down some stats for her Rogue, but quickly realized that her heart was more in the side game her friend had brought for today. No skill points, no complex rules interactions, just play cards at each other and have fun! Also maybe she'd draw something that would help Chloe get Rhys's attention back from the shy nerd at the end of the table. Was Rebecca even that shy? Anjali could have sworn she hadn't been that flirty before Rhys started to help her with her character, but-- oh well, time to draw a card for her turn.

"What? No, we went through your spells already, and even then you're a cleric! You can't even cast--"

"No silly, I meant this one!" She plopped the card down in front of him.

He sighed. "I'm not even playing that game! I'm trying to get the D&D campaign started here..."

Rebecca had none of it. "Well, now you are! I just gave you your first RP, now draw some cards and play your turn!" She gently took his hand and moved it to the draw pile.

Rhys smiled back at her. Why was he even so ****? There was an amazing girl next to him, even flirting the whole time, and all he'd done was try to **** her into something. He took the cards into his left hand and rested the other on her shoulder.

• Curse: Awareness. Become aware of all changes the game makes from this point onwards.

"So how does this work? I drew a curse, do I play it on somebody else or does it affect me?"

"Okay, so I'm going to be aware of changes made, whatever that means." The other players didn't seem to take much notice of Rhys's comment. "So now I just play a card on someone?"

"Sure!" Rebecca chirped next to him. "They're all supposedly hot changes, but pretty much all of them turned out to be true already."

Rhys looked at his hand. Slime sounded a bit icky, he probably wouldn't want to play that unless he absolutely had to. On the other hand, Libido would probably be a pretty hard one to observe. He decided to play it safe. "Tex, you get this Libido card from me." He rolled a d6 as instructed, getting a 2. Unnoticed by the players, this caused Tex's curse card to flash and evaporate. "So, let's see what a 4 does on that."

Tex had a hard time suppressing his double boner in front of all the girls. They had to know how uncomfortable they made him, right? Directly to his right, Rebecca was shamelessly flirting, and the two goths at the table weren't much better. Great. He couldn't even equip that yet. He decided to keep his turn simple and played the Physical: Choice card on Chloe. "I'd love to see how you look with longer hair."

Chloe's bleached-white hair grew out to shoulder length, revealing her dark natural color underneath, with only one or two inches at the tip remaining white. "Really? I'm having trouble at this length already with it hanging in my face all the time."

She noticed Rhys suddenly pulling a shocked expression in her direction. Had he noticed her jerking it? She slid her chair a bit forward and continued under the table at a slower tempo, then used her free hand to draw two cards for the turn.

• Physical: Hair. Roll 1d6 for strength. 1 RP
• Mental: Orientation. Change the target's sexual orientation. 1 RP

Jackpot! If this game actually worked, which she started to doubt at this point, then the Orientation card should help her out with her plans for Rhys.

"Hey Rebecca, what if you were a lesbian?" She smirked, sliding the card across the table.

Their planned D&D session was all but forgotten at this point.
