Tunnel of Lurve

Before I could make any more mentions of things to do Mai had already grabbed onto my hand, lightly tugging me through the throngs of people towards a direction I didn't recognize initially. However, as we went further and further I felt it could have been only one of two things. Either Mai was taking us towards the games or she had somehow seen the Tunnel of Love from the Ferris Wheel. Given how accurate her eyes were when she was throwing her knives I was pretty sure it could be either one...right up until we wound up directly in front of the Tunnel of Love.

The moment the large building came into view Mai pointed to it, not looking up at me as she spoke, "I saw that it goes inside...is it slow?" I nodded, "Yes it-" "Is it just for two people?" Mai rapidly asked, cutting off my response at the knees. Surprised by her sudden assertiveness I nodded once again, "Yes, it's called the Tunnel of Love and it's just for two people." I could see Mai start to blush heavily but she started pulling me in the direction of the ride, her obvious intent being to get on the ride for some alone time.

Given that most people wait until they are tired to go on the slow rides it was pretty abandoned, the only person being the sleepy eyed conductor and a few teenagers who weren't even waiting to get on the ride before getting frisky. With those few couples gone it was our turn, me helping Mai into the ridiculous swan boat before we were sent on our way through the cool tunnel. Now when I say cool tunnel I meant it, the air within the shadowed area being several degrees cooler than the outside.

Because of this sudden chill Mai was quick to huddle up against me, her body quaking slightly and she nuzzled into my arm, "Y-you could have t-told me it was cold." I sighed, a habit that was becoming much too common for me, and wrapped an arm around Mai, "I'm sorry, not all of them are like this. You'll get used to it soon." Apparently my word held more weight than I thought because moments after I said that Mai ceased shivering, instead happily and comfortably leaning into my side with her hand on my thigh once again.

Just as she had in the newness of the Ferris Wheel, Mai asked questions about the Tunnel of Love. Many of them being about the Boat, the random pink and red hearts lining the walls, and the entire purpose for this ride in the first place. I answered to the best of my ability though I felt that my response to why the Tunnel of Love was present was a bit too blunt, Mai's face was cherry red even in the dark of the tunnel. However, this didn't stop Mai as her hand started to slowly stroke along my thigh, my own hand rubbing her shoulder slowly as she sighed in happiness. Suddenly, Mai pulled away slightly, turning her face up to me but looking away, her teeth gently biting her lower lip as she quietly whispered...
