"I'm so sorry." I eventually said. "I-I never intended for all of that to happen, I just..." I continued, my voice shaking, "I was curious. I dreamt of a god, a stone magically appear into my hand, and I'm using it without a care in the world without considering potential side effects, because I'm a god damn fucking moron.". My anger against myself grew stronger, as my guilt toward them. "I have ruined your life, your future, your relationship... Can't wait to destroy Emilia's life too..."

"No you're wrong !". Jade's shout startled me, but she pursued, on a gentler tone: "You're too harsh on yourself. Life ain't over yet. We'll get over this together, okay ?". Not knowing what to answer, I kept quiet.

"So, you learn a gorgeous woman wants you, and you blame yourself on that ? You are really kind." I lifted my eyes to meet Caroline's.

"But I-"

"It was an accident" she interrupted me, "no sane person would have believe this magic gibberish. As for me, I asked for it, jokes on me."

"And your cou-"

"We've talked about it for a LONG time today, and Jade also spent her time blaming herself. It was a lot to take in, that's true, but accusing you won't solve anything. What's done is done and cannot be took back. It's none of our fault."

Jade blamed herself ? I never considered it like that: it must have been tough for her, feeling she was betraying the person she loves the most. And let's not talk about Caroline, who surely feared losing her. Yet, they're still so kind to me.

"Thank you Caroline." I finally answered.

"We're in this shit together, we'll get out of it together." she replied, smilling.

Suddenly, my stomach's grumble reverberated into the livin room. "Look like I'm starving." I jokingly said, "Are you OK with pizzas ? My treat."

They accepted, and we waited for the delivery guy talking about, well, anything. After that heavy topic, we needed to chill a little.
