Try to retrieve them, fortune is on her side

After mulling it over, Anna decided panties are worth the risk. Besides, even if one of her classmates saw her, there's no way anyone would believe the story; Anna is a well-mannered straight A student. No one would expect her to have pulled her panties down in the middle of class.

Done justifying her coming actions, she considered just how she would retrieve the undergarment. The classic way would simply be to drop something, like a pencil or eraser, allowing her to naturally get closer to the floor without any suspicion. The real problem will be pulling her panties up. It requires a good amount of movement to pull them all the way up her legs. Then a brilliant idea came to her: first, she would slip her panties off her ankles. Dropping something, she would reach down to pick it up and grab her panties at the same time. She could then slip the panties into her pocket and get a hall pass for the bathroom. The plan was foolproof!

With a plan in mind, Anna didn't want to tempt fate any longer by remaining still. Slowly, she pulled her legs back slightly and shifted her feet. Her ankles brushed each other while the panties clung to her shoes. Eventually, the underwear fell from her feet, resting in a pile beneath her chair.

Anna took a deep breath and placed her eraser precariously close to the edge of her desk. She proceeded to 'accidentally' push it off the side of her desk. Acting surprised, Anna leaned toward the eraser. But genuine surprise soon caused her to panic when she realized her adjacent classmate was reaching down to grab the eraser for her. From that angle, they would see her panties for sure!

Anna dove for the eraser. Snatching it up, she pretended to be very involved in class. Her classmate looked at Anna confusedly before returning their attention to the class. Anna let out a sigh of relief once she was certain her classmate hadn't noticed her grabbing the panties from the floor. Stuffing the balled-up undergarment into her pocket, she patiently waited for the teacher's attention to request a hall pass.

The teacher handed her a green slip of paper and told her, "I know you work ahead, but hurry back Anna."

Anna wasted no time leaving the room. Her skirt felt a bit off though, it was looser than usual. Lifting the hem of her shirt, Anna noticed the unimpeded zipper had parted a bit. Those quick movements were a bad idea. Still, she could hold the skirt together for the time being. She started on her way to the bathroom to put her panties back on. She wished to return as soon as possible. The hallways were entirely empty, which made Anna hesitate. She could walk all the way to the bathroom, or she could just slip the panties on in the hallway real quick. No one is around anyway.
