Try his best to tell Jason

Though it took some convincing, Ethan managed to convince Jason of his condition, though he could tell he looked a little skeptical.

Jason examined the ring box in his hands. “So…this voice. It never said how you could change yourself back?”

Ethan shook his head. “Nope. Didn’t exactly have time to ask any questions, so I had to make a decision quickly.”

“So you picked your mom’s clothes?” Jason said, raising an eyebrow.

“Look man, it didn’t leave me a lot of options, okay?” Ethan said defensively, uncomfortably adjusting the bra strap digging into his shoulder. “I don’t know what to do now. Nobody else seems to find this weird, except for me!”

The two sat in silence for a moment, until Jason spoke up. “You know, if nobody else seems to find it weird…”

Ethan looked at Jason apprehensively.

“Maybe just roll with it for now? See what happens?” He finished.

“Dude, I’m wearing a bra for boobs that don’t even exist. Shit, it was so weird seeing my mom walking around braless like that in my clothes.”

“I mean…not a problem for me-Ow!” Jason rubbed his shoulder, after Ethan punched him. “Okay okay, chill! Look, this ring of yours. Did you try taking it off?” Ethan shook his head.

“Haven’t tried yet. I don’t wanna risk this thing swapping something else away from me. What if I end up swapping with some complete stranger?” Ethan said. He held out his hand, showing the ring to Jason.

It still felt warm around his finger, indicating that it was still active somehow. He noticed for the first time since he left his house, that one of the points of the star had turned red. Ethan figured this indicated the swap that had happened to him.

“I think you should try taking it off. I mean, shit, maybe that’s been the answer this whole damn time.” Jason said, as he held Ethan’s hand and examined the ring. “I mean it didn’t give you a warning or anything did it?”

Ethan thought for a moment…Jason was right. It never mentioned any consequences for taking the ring off.

“Ah what the hell. I’m gonna do it.” He said, finally. He pulled his hand away from Jason, and attempted to pull the ring off his finger.

As he tugged, a familiar painful feeling came over him and he blacked out…
