You slide over to Gali, smiling as she looks at you in annoyance. Time to work your magic (lamp, fitting the theme)!

"Hey. So, I guess we'll be working together for a bit."

"Unfortunately, since we choose gender over skill," Gali says. "I should've gotten that role."

"Sorry," you say. "I didn't ask for this role or anything, I just got it. I can try talk to Caoimhe if you want."

"Fuck off, you've already helped enough," Gali says in annoyance.

OK, one more try.

"So, is Gali short for something?"

"Galiana," she says.

"Beautiful name," you say.

"Look, I'm just pissed off right now because I didn't get the role I know I deserved, can you just leave me alone?"

"Sure," you shrug, before walking away. "Bye."

At that point everyone else is already talking to someone else, so you slump around for a bit, twiddling your thumbs and waiting for the end of the play. Eventually, Caoimhe finds you.

"Hey, we're pretty much finished up here. You can head off now, if you want."

"Cool," you nod.

"You'll be at the next practice, right?" she asks.

"Uh, sure, yeah," you nod.

"Thanks," she smiles.
