How do you answer

Truthfully

With the Rulebook as your support, and for the sake of continuing the experiment, you decide to answer truthfully. "Yes. It is the only way I could think of, without stalking you. I have to be here, and you have to be here, I get to see you under the pretext of trying to escape, and since we're not doing anything wrong, it's legal."

Ms Chai eyes were big during your impromptu confession. She then looks down, abashed. "Thanks. I am flattered, but don't you think that the age gap is too big? I'm old enough to be your mother."

It is your turn to be surprised. You expected her to flat out reject you, not saying something that sounds like she is trying to convince herself. "It's not something I can help, since I have a crush on you,"

"Not with other teachers?"

"You did say that I only get detention with you, right?"

Ms Chai put a hand on her face. "This is embarassing. Is there a way that I can convince you not to go to detention, at least during my time?"

You feel like teasing her. "Probably you can do that by not sending me to detention in the first place."

"I couldn't play favorites."

You write in the Rulebook. "How about instead of spending time together during detention, we can go for dates?"

"That is against..." Ms Chai put a hand on her cheek in a thoughtful pose. "Oh, the national legislation have been passed recently and you're already more than 18, and the examination isn't done by me, so it's legal?"

"Since it's Friday," you look at the clock. "And it's 4.00 pm, see you tonight?"
