Trust the scientist for now

Samora sighs, and walks away from the pod.

"keep an eye on the pod, you are her partner as long as she is in that pod and i am holding you responsible for her safety" Samora says to the scientist as she storms to the camp. The rest of the night is uneventful, and in the morning Samora talks to the male guard about when he and the female scientist were taking pictures.

"Well the only odd thing was at one point where she was looking at the ball, it started glowing for a few seconds and went out, she seemed to be not concerned so we didn't report it... but now i think it may have been a hypnotic thingy" the guard says.

Samora shakes her head. Later the team work together to open the pod.
