Walt joined her singing, "The rainbow connection. "

Shogo laughed as they both sang, "The lovers, the dreamers, and me

They laughed along with the kid. Walt grinned. "You got a pretty voice, Jen."

Jen shook her head but kissed his cheek then Shogo's. "A romantic evening in," she grinned.

Walt shrugged as they watched The Muppet Movie with Shogo... again. She nodded. "Kids," she said.

Walt nodded. "Sorry but that's how it is."

Jen shook her head. "No it's..." she kissed him and put her head on his shoulder. "... it's actually pretty wonderful."

Walt smiled and nodded. "It is. He's tiring out again and he's eaten and been changed so he won't be much-"

(("Call from Jubilee."))

Walt smiled ruefully. "-trouble... I knew it." He sighed as Jen laughed. At least she'd had a good time. He pulled out his phone on speaker. "Put her through please, Friday."

There's the sound of loud background noises. Then Jubilee. "Hey Walt!"

Walt smiled as Shogo did saying, "Mama!" "Hi Jubes. What's up?"

"Yeah...," Jubilee said over the background noise. "Is that offer still open? For a ride?"

Jen kissed his cheek and he did the same then stood grabbing his hat. "I'm on my way!"

Jen flashed him a thumbs-up holding Shogo to let him know that she understood and it was fine. She had this.

Walt grabbed the keys and headed of to go pick up 'trouble'.

"You mad?" Jubilee asked.

Walt shook his head. "Nope... just trying to concentrate on driving..."

"Awwww..." said Tabitha aka "Boom-Boom". "Don't be like that! Jubilee had nothing but good stuff to say about you. Maybe seeing these again will cheer you up-"

Jubilee glared at her. "Just keep your top on! I can't believe you flashed him the first time! Ali how's Laura?"

Tabby shrugged. "I didn't know it was him at the time..."

Alison aka Dazzler looked up from where she had Laura Kinney aka Wolverine in her lap checking her vitals. "She's ok. Whatever Walt gave her fixed her up but she's still unconscious from whatever that stuff was."

Walt checked his mirrors again. "Shit... here come those sonsabitches again." He looked up. "Second thought... strip."

Jubilee looked at him incredulously. "Now you want to see my friends naked?!"

Walt growled. "I don't but they shouldn't be finding us so easily! They musta planted a bug on one of you at the bar! Even if we get away from these varmints we can't risk having them track yall back to anyone else. We don't want them following anyone home. Take stuff off and have Friday scan it."

Jubilee nodded. Walt's number one concern was everyones saftey. She didn't want any one else caught up in this mess either especially not her family. She immediately pulled her dress up over her head. "Ok girls you heard him! Start stripping!" She pulled out her phone and put on the glasses Walt had given her. "Friday? What can you see?"

Walt glanced at their pursuers in the mirrors and then said, "Tabby. There's an old duffel bag with spare clothes under your seat. Can't gaurantee that they're as fashionable as what yall are wearing but-"

Tabitha nodded already out of her little flirty dress grabbing the bag and pulling it out. "Got it! Here Jubes check this and I'll help Ali with Laura," she said handing over her dress.

Jubilee nodded. "Friday hasn't detected any devices but she says there's an isotope signature. The assholes must have sprayed us with something or it was in the gas grenade. Should I pitch them out the window?"

Walt paused. "Hang on... no... let's lose these assholes first and then send them on a wild goose chase instead. Make four bundles please."

Jubilee grinned and kissed his cheek. "You got it, Babe!" She starts tying up their clothes as Tabitha hands her one of Jubilee's old outfits from the bag to put on. "I ain't worn this thing in forever... kind hope it fits but it'll be depressing if it does... Whatcha thinking?"

Walt growled. "These the guys that crucified you that one time?"

Jubilee nodded her head once. "Kinda sorta. This is their militant branch the "Purifiers" or some other Stryker bullshit. Why are you-"

Walt growled even louder and grabbed her hand squeezing it. "We're going to make these assholes pay!"

Jubilee nodded and then smiled. "Thanks... you bet we are! Bike?"

Walt nodded. "Bike." He checked. "They're closing fast though. Ali, Tabby. Who's the better driver?"

Alison looked at Tabitha but she shook her head. "Talent maybe but you have far more experience, Alison. Sides I'm still a bit tipsy to be honest."

Alison nodded. "Ok. I can do it Walt!" She said slipping into an old sweatshirt of his that was way too big but covered her well like a dress.

Walt nodded. "Switch with Jubes then. I'll show ya a few of this old girls tricks and then we'll switch." She did and he smiled at her. "By the way, nice to see you again, Ali!"

Alison grinned at him. "It's good to see you too! You're looking well."

Walt laughed. "Same to you, Dazzler! Ok this things no X-Jet but she's got a few tricks. First and most importantly that switch there's going to lower a ramp for the bike. I can handle that but I'll need you to hit it after to raise it up again. Next to it though is are a few other options but it's the sound system which I think you'll appreciate..."

Tabitha looked at Jubilee as she lowered the bike into position and grabbed a helmet. "You're not really going out there are you?"

Jubilee laughed. "You bet I am! Got personal beef with these Church of Humanity assholes... they killed a friend. Almost killed me..." her eyes got hard. "I won't let a single one of them near my friends and family!" She shook it off. "How's Laura?"

Tabitha smiled. "Doing better by the minute! I think whatever they hit her with only temporarily disrupted her powers." She shook her head. "Sorry that new bar was a bust..."

Jubilee smiled at her. "It's fine. Not like we knew that it was a Friends of Humanity hangout and that old church across the way was CoH... plus I'm pretty sure it's definitely a bust now that we "broke it"."

They both look at each other and laugh. Just another crazy misadventure. Tabitha helped her check the bike. "He really does seem nice."

Jubilee smiled as she checked then put the Captain America shield in place. "Yeah."

Tabitha blinked looking at the shield. "Seriously?" She saw Jubilee shrug and sighed. "No wonder he barely looked at my girls! He's got it for you bad! I'm happy for you, Girl."

Jubile grinned. "Thanks Tabby!"

Tabitha asked excitedly. "Maybe you can hook a girl up with a couple of Avengers?"

Walt shook his head as he joined them. "I'm not him or with them Tabitha but I know a few of them. They're kinda MIA at the moment but if they resurface... sure, I'll put in a word-"

"Tony?" She asked with glee.

Walt smirked thinking about his old friend with the reputation... deservedly. "Yeah probab-"

"And Thor? Oh, Banner too? And-"

"Down girl!" Jubilee said as she got in the bikes sidecar. "Sit! Stay!"

Walt stradled the bike, checking his revolver and then gave Jubilee a kiss. "Good to go?" He gave her a thumbs-up.

She grinned returning the thumbs-up and started generating a Energy Plasmoid and holding it in her hands. "Let's help these fuckers "see the light"." She saw Walt blushing a little. "What?"

Walt shrugged. "Uhm... you look good..."

Jubilee laughed and looked at her barely zipped up X-Suit also blushing. "I-I haven't worn this thing in years! It's... tight so..."

Walt nodded. "It's a bit... distracting."

Jubilee grinned. "Yeah? I'm gonna remember that for later! I was a bit disappointed I could even squeeze into the thing in the first place but not so much now!"

Tabitha laughed and nodded also getting ready to use her powers when the doors were open and they were clear.

Walt nodded and revved the bike. "Later... first things first. In three. Two. One." He hit the big red button next to them. "Now!"

The enemy had managed to locate the van again. Their prey was clever and tricky but despite the changing colors and license plates they'd found them again. They'd either capture these mutant abominations or get them to lead tgem ti more of their kind. The Wolverine especially was wanted. They had a score to settle with her and wouldn't be dissuaded or tricked again by oil slicks or smoke screens. The others were nothing with her down. They were ready for them and wouldn't be surprised this time!

They were wrong.

The heavy motorcycle that burst out of the back and into the middle of the pursuit was the last thing they'd expected. In mere moments two explosions took out the lead vehicles with a "Bang" and a "Boom" nearly simultaneously. Then the patriotic music started up and things got really weird!

The world exploded into flashes, rainbows and flags started trailing the van like wings, fireworks were going off everywhere and an iconic shield started knocking guys around.

One guy screamed trying to avoid getting hit by the Statue of Liberty who came out of nowhere swinging her torch only to run into a phonepole. Another had a similar problem as they were chased by a giant Abraham Lincoln. Another realized the illusions for what they were and tried to pull up alongside the van. He drove straight for the glowing yellow balls of light that weren't real either.

Boom-Boom shook her head watching the explosion. "Dude totally ate that one... what was he thinking!" She laughed listening to Dazzler singing along with The Star-Spangled Banner. "Of course this is on Caps playlist of battle jams!" She started singing along too! Dazzler started changing her illusions to be more Avengers themed.

Walt shook his head at the chaos but it completely worked in their favor as their pursuers started screaming about "Avengers" and "Captain America"! He shook his head and resolved to buy Steve Rogers a drink if he saw him. Steve actually probably wouldn't mind that much... he was a nice guy like that.

Walt dodged them through and around obstacles but he called out targets for Jubilee including as their enemies lessened a particular one. "10 o'clock! Trash truck!"

Jubilee laughed and nodded her understanding as she pulled out a bundle of the clothing and tossed it. Walt took quick aim and stuck it with a web shot from the webshooters on his wrist. They did the same thing to another. Pitched another bundle in a dumpster and the final one off a bridge into a garbage scow. "Hope they have fun searching through all the garbage!" She laughed happily. "Couldn't happen to nicer fuckers!"

Walt grinned nodding. It looked like they'd lost their pursuers. It was time to get their friends home... but first...

"Where we going now?" Jubilee shouted.

Walt grinned. "I promised Jean. I owe Scott that apology so might as well! That's the nearest Krakoa gate for your friends. Just gotta find some chocolates!"

Jubilee laughed and smiled. Looked like they were all settling scores tonight!
