Triumph of the Bugs

(Init; Bell 1d6 v Weevil 1d8; 2 v 4; Weevil wins)

Bell sends out Frank because a Fire Bird should have no trouble with a bug. But in the second it takes her to send out Frank, Weevil has already commanded his Vivillion to "Use Quiver Dance!" (Weevil's Vivillion uses Quiver Dance: 1,5 Success: +1 Attack)

Ok, that could be bad. Still, fire. "Burn it with Ember!" (Frank Uses Ember; 7, 5; hits; 2/3 wounds for Vivillon) and she watches the bird take flight as it chases the bug, spitting fire at its target.

The two fliers circle each other, with Weevil shouting "Use GUST!" (Vivillon uses Gust; 3, 8; hits 2/3 wounds for Frank) sending a blast of air towards Frank.

Still, Bell's not worried. "EMBER!" (Frank uses Ember; 1+2, 1+2, Snake I mean Ekans EYES!!!! Shit, not only is that a Miss but it is a Critical Miss! I'll say Frank can no longer use Ember) That is until she sees the gust not only slam into Frank, but disrupt the fire attack. Ok, now she was starting to worry.

"Use Gust!" (Vivillon uses Gust; 4, 2; hits; 1/3 wounds for Frank) Worries which were confirmed as another blast of air was sent into Frank.

Fuck! If Fire wouldn't work, that wasn't Frank's only move. "Acrobatics!" (Frank uses Acrobatics+1 no held Item +2 Super effective; 6, 8; 1/3 wounds for Vivillon) and she watches Frank barrel through the blast of air to collide into and fly past the bug Pokémon.

"Finish it off with Gust!" (Vivillon uses Gust; 3, 5; Frank faints) But Bell's small victory is short lived as she watches the Vivillon send another blast of air into Frank, knocking him out of the sky.

As Bell recalls Frank, Weevil takes the moment to gloat. "Girls like you shouldn't even be out here. Why don't you just surrender now and go play house or something. After I have my fun with you of course."

"Fuck off!" Still, she hadn't expected that to happen. What did she have left? Sending out Chester was a bad idea, he may know Rollout but he WAS grass type and all that. That meant her best option would be. "You got this DeDe! Use Discharge!" (Bell sends out DeDe since Electric resists Flying; Dede uses Discharge; the Vivillon faints)

Bell smiles at Weevil, "Why don't you surrender before you get beaten by a girl again?" but she is just trying to mask her nervousness. This fight was a lot more even than she expected.

There is also the question that Bell is afraid of what Pokémon Weevil will send out next? (1d6; 1-3 Butterfree, 4-6 Beedrill; 2 Butterfree)

When Weevil sends out a Butterfree Bell manages to keep the smile on her face. That is until Weevil shouts out "Use Quiver Dance!" (Butterfree uses Quiver Dance; +1 Attack next turn) Fuck! This thing is going to be as much trouble as the last one.

No matter, Electric beats Flying. "Use Discharge!" (Dede uses Discharge; 4, 4; hits 2/3 wounds for butterfree)

When Weevil shouts out "Use Bug Buzz!" Bell isn't worried. (Butterfree uses Bug Buzz; 17, 5; CRIT! Dede takes a wound 2/3, and has her defense lowered by -1) Until she actually sees the attack. Then it clicks with her. Weevil didn't use their bug moves because Frank resisted those. But Dede doesn't, and this move seems stronger then the Gusts the other bug was using.

Still, she wasn't down yet, "Discharge!" (Dede uses Discharge; 5, 7; hits 1/3 wounds for Butterfree) This bug was a flying type. She hasn't lost this yet!

Bell manages to hold onto hope until she sees the Butterfree's last attack. "Finish this with Bug Buzz!" (Butterfree uses Bug Buzz; 6, 18; Hits, Butterfree spends a Mastery to cause 2 wounds). As the powerful attack slams into Dede Bell doesn't even need to wait for the dust to clear to know the out come.

Dede is defeated, Bell is defeated.

Worst of all, now she was going to have to, pleasure, Weevil. Just the thought was enough to make her feel sick.

Author's Notes: Wow, I was NOT expecting that... If frank hadn't missed, he would have won. If Weevil hadn't double critted, he would have lost. I can only say one thing about this.
