Trilia and Alicia relaxing

As you walk into the common area there are many groups of girls still somewhat awkwardly navigating the new social climate.

You spot Trilia and Alicia in a corner playing some kind of board game as they chat about the day. You make your way over to them, Trilia sees you coming and waves.

Trilia : "Hey roomie, how were your private sessions?"

Jessica : "Alright I guess, they were very different."

You just then realize the contrast, Jasmine had triggered an existential crisis while Banson had mostly put on a pretty show.

Trilia : "Oh really? Mine were pretty similar. But I guess transfiguration is more like a one on one than our group sessions."

Jessica : "Yeah, that was definitely different. You're arcane conjuration and Charms right Trilia? I think I know what charms is like but I have no idea what arcane conjuration is."

Trilia : "Oh it's neat, we can just kind of make things out of mana."

She demonstrated by creating a copy of one of the game pieces that shone with a faint purple glow.

Jessica : "That probably comes in handy"

Trilia : "Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting good enough to do clothing conjuration, think of all the possibilities."

You weren't so sure you liked the idea of clothing that might disappear if exposed to the wrong dispel but maybe some accessories.

Jessica : "How about you Alicia? You're a tele caster right but I never heard what your other specialty was."

Alicia looked up from studying the board.

Alicia : "Oh, flora magic. I'm kind of disappointed I didn't get any real synergies, floating plants yay... "

Jessica : "Synergies? What does that mean?"

Trilia : "Oh, like I can conjure something and then enchant it. It's pretty advanced stuff. You can also get them by just working with someone else who has synergies with you but it's pretty convenient to not need to. Some of the most powerful ones requires three or more specialties anyways. Almost every combination has some kind of synergies although Alicia is right, I can't think of anything that combines telekinesis and flora magic. There are still a lot of unknown combinations so maybe you'll find one."

Jessica : "I wonder what kind of combinations exist with transfiguration magic..."

Trilia : "Huh, it's rare enough that there are probably a lot of undiscovered ones. Your instructor probably knows more."

The three of you keep chatting about the day and the two girls teach you how to play the board game. It seems complicated to you but you didn't have a lot of experience with games growing up.
