Tricked into Complacency

“That was way too easy…” Chantelle said biting her thumb as Noelle used the last of her magic to turn Mel and Cassie visible. “There is no way you just snuck into the witches lair and came out completely unscathed…”

“I mean I did a pretty convincing job that I was the real Tania plus Cassie did an amazing job switching out the two of them. Mel was the real MVP for getting us into her actual apartment,” Noelle said still in her Tania form as she was without her magic. “Alright Mel go ahead and turn Sophie back to human.”

“Uh ok…” Mel said as she pointed her wand at her tiny friend. With one go, Sophie was back to human but…she was still the size of a doll. Mel grabbed Sophie and said, “Dammit I’m sorry Soph…”

Sophie spoke in a high pitched voice, “It’s quite alright Mel. I’m back to being human again instead of a doll so thank you so much!”

Abi quickly grabbed her wife, “Oh my sweet darling! I’m happier than a June bug on the Fourth of July.” She gave kisses to her miniature wife as they both sobbed. It had been so long as both since they had seen one another and finally reunited. The two of them exited the room to catch up on everything as the others were planning a celebration.

“We can’t celebrate yet! If anything we are in more trouble than before considering our resident witch is out of magic. The moment she realizes that Sophie is missing we will incur her wrath. We need a plan for when that does happen,” Chantelle said slamming her hands on the desk.

“What are we even gonna do? It’s not like we can curse a witch…” Barbie said nonchalant as she was holding a celebratory bottle of champagne.

“Wait say that again!” Noelle said as she might have just realized something.

“Oh what? You can’t curse a witch?” Barbie said with a confused look.

“Exactly! Magic may not work on her but maybe we can take away her magic,” Noelle said with a smirk.

“How exactly would we do that?” Cassie asked with a finger on her lips. “It sounds easier said than done…”

“It’s actually not that difficult but we need something of hers…something of value…” Noelle said with a frown. “We probably should have grabbed something while we were there the first time…damn I should have thought about that while I was there…”

“You were preoccupied to make sure that we didn’t get found out so we will let you off the hook this time,” Chantelle said with a wink. “But if this is really possible we are gonna have to go back to see what is exactly precious to this woman.” The three woman looked at Mel who looked confused.

“I have to go back alone?” Mel asked.

“I mean one of us can go with you but it’s risky for us to bring too many people into her lair,” Noelle said as she inspected Tania’s body with more detail. She could see why the viewers found her so sexy. “This would be really good practice for you, Mel…Obviously not tonight since both of us are totally spent on magic.”

Chantelle was nervous as Rebecca was too smart and too cunning to realize that Sophie was still there. Chantelle wished she could do more with magic but she was pretty much useless when it came to this stuff. There was a person that could help but his involvement is this could end up being more problematic. Being the leader was exhausting but she laughed as the adrenaline of battling a challenging enemy was the main reason she had originally joined the FBI. She chuckled as she said to the others, “I apologize for my outburst it appears I’ve been out of the game too long but we should be proud of everything we’ve managed to do at this point! Let’s keep a lookout for anything suspicious.”
