Who's that Girl?

Treading Murky Waters

Treading Murky Waters

****

They danced a bit more, Sharon making sure to press her soft, bikini-covered breast against Logan’s chest and rub her thigh up against his crotch. Logan held back a groan as he felt her bare thigh once more against his stiff erection, the thin fabric of his shorts was a frustrating barrier between them. He held one hand on her hips as he guided her through another dance step while his free hand roamed across her bare back, twice his hand slid lower to squeeze her firm ass before remembering they had company. Sharon knew how to stoke the fire in him. Even after what she had done, Logan couldn’t deny how hot and sexy she was, or the way she could turn him on so easily. It was truly intoxicating.

He glanced around for a moment to see how his friends were doing. Jake and Alice looked like they were having fun dancing, he had his hands on her swaying hips, and it seemed like he was guiding her movements while her hands rested on his shoulders. Next to them Scarlett and Duncan seemed to have a much more tame dance, swaying to the music without touching each other. On the other hand, Charlie and Delilah were barely pretending to dance, just a slow sway of their hips as they kissed, her hands around his neck and his hands in the back pockets of her shorts.

Logan stared into Sharon’s dark green eyes, her moist lips seemed to call him as her tongue glided across them. He almost gave in to the temptation of kissing her and taking her to their room. That was until a new song came up. It was a joyful country rock tune that soon had them laughing and swinging around in circles, linking arms with the others and switching partners. By the time the song ended, Logan found himself dancing with another girl.

"Hope you got some moves for me?" Scarlett smiled up brightly as she wrapped her hands behind his neck, her fingers sliding up and down the back of his neck.

Logan couldn't help but smile back at her and chuckle. He shook his head, a mix of amusement and disbelief. “Did you set this up?” he asked with amusement.

“Nope!” Scarlett said with a pop, “Not my style,” she winking at him, “I’ll let the redhead do all the scheming and pushing people together,” Scarlett added with a tilt towards where Sharon was currently dancing with her back to Duncan. Their blonde friend seemed to be enjoying the view Sharon was giving him as she raised her arms in the air and teasingly swayed her hips sideways as if inviting him to grab on and hold them.

“You noticed that?” Logan said his hands found their place on her hips, just above her denim shorts. Scarlett nodded as she gave him a knowing smile, as if enjoying a childish prank. “So what is your style?” Logan said teasingly. This straightforward attitude was refreshing, and even if he didn’t quite know where she was going, he thought he had a pretty good idea.

Scarlett gave her shoulders a dismissive shrug. “Well, when something catches my eye, well, I want to learn more about it.” She said and then looked up at him, the edges of her lips teasing a smile, “You, made a... big impression,” she added tapping his chest with one finger.

“Oh, really?” Logan said smugly, thinking she meant their earlier tryst on the boat. The memory of her screaming made him feel his chest swell with pride. He had girls cry out their orgasms in ecstasy and even his name, but he had never had a girl scream like Scarlett had.

“Yeah!” Scarlett said with a hint of admiration, “I didn’t know you could sing or even dance on stage.” She said teasing him, “For a moment last night I was afraid I was going up on stage with Planky and have do all the show myself!” Logan chuckled as she slid from his grip, “Laugh it up big guy,” Scarlett giggled, “You know how hard it is to find a guy for a stage show that doesn’t look like his feet are nailed to the stage and isn’t gay!”

“How hard can it be?” Logan said pretending not to know as they both swayed the music, their bodies barely grazing against each other, teasing with just the slightest caress. They danced around each other, a fleeting touch here, a gentle rub there. Somehow the innocence of their dance was more erotic than any of the grinding he had done with Sharon earlier, as if each one was waiting for the other to make the first move.

“Oh, It’s hard, very hard,” Scarlett teased him back as she finally traced her fingertips against his hard-on, her nails trailing a line up from his waist and across his chest before spinning away when the song ended to swirl among their friends.

Logan felt his cock twitch in his shorts as he watched her backside as she moved to dance with Jake, her hand trailing across his chest and shoulders and around his back as her dance move led her around him. He immediately saw what she meant when he noticed the way Jake’s feet never left the same spot as he moved side to side, the same with Duncan as he continued dancing with Delilah this time.

Logan found himself dancing with Alice as his new partner. The short-haired girl smiled as she placed her hands on his shoulders and started rolling her hips when she felt his hands settle on her waist. She was a good dancer, and while she didn’t mind getting closer, Logan easily noticed the way she kept some distance, he could respect that. And yet Logan couldn’t help but look over at Scarlett as she danced with Jake, but she also kept some distance. Logan’s mind raced with the thoughts of her teasing words. She was a challenge, one he was eager to accept.

“Did you pop the question?” Alice asked him with eager curiosity. Not just because she knew he was going to ask Sharon to be his girlfriend but also because it would be a great scoop for her section of “TattleRock,” the online gossip website of Azure Rock. Rumor had it that Logan had popped the question a few times before, but nothing had ever come of it. Had he really asked the question, or had she said no? Would this be different? Would he really ask her to be his girlfriend? Or would she refuse him again? She hoped Sharon did say yes, they did make a nice couple, two handsome and very popular people.

The question brought Logan crashing back to reality. The entire purpose of this trip was to once again ask Sharon to be his girlfriend, hoping that watching other couples enjoy themselves would help convince her that they were so much better together. Only she had said no. He glanced over and saw Sharon dancing with Charlie. She looked like she was having a good time as Charlie spun her around.

“You alright?” Alice’s voice brought him out of his thoughts.

He looked down at her and **** a smile. “Yeah, I’m fine,” Logan **** a smile as he tried to deflect the question, “Just trying to plan my next move.”

Alice suddenly stopped dancing and put her hand on his chest, “She said no, didn’t she?” Alice whispered softly, her voice tinged with sadness. “I’m sorry.”

Logan shrugged and sighed as he realized the truth was out. “It’s ok, not the first time.”

“It’s not ok!” Alice insisted she brought her hand up to cup his cheek, “If she can’t realize a good thing when she has it right in front of her, then she doesn’t deserve it.”

“It’s just that…” Logan hesitated for a moment, unsure if he should really tell her everything. Alice was a pretty cool classmate and all, but could he really open up with her? “It’s complicated,” Logan finally said.

“How complicated can it be? If you like each other, you date, you fall in love, or you don’t.” Alice said, “If she can’t see that she’s better off with you than alone… well then forget about her.”

“Maybe,” Logan said, tilting his head to the side, “I’ll think about it.”

“If she doesn’t want to date, just let me know, I’ll fix you up with someone,” Alice assured him. “It’s a lot more ‘fun’ when you’re really dating someone instead of whatever it is you two have. Trust me.” Alice added.

Logan caught a hint of a knowing smirk at the edge of her lips. He did understand her, after all, it was what he was aiming for with Sharon. “Thanks Alice, I’ll keep that in mind.”

Alice brushed his cheeks and said, “You do that.” She said before she added, “Now move that butt and dance!”

They danced a bit more, Logan careful not to get too close to Alice as they danced or when he spun her around. It felt nice. She wasn’t sensual like Sharon or teasing like Scarlett, but it did remind him that there were options, even if she wasn’t one of them.

Has they danced Logan glanced around the room, Scarlett was dancing again with her friend Duncan, keeping their distance, it almost looked like they were siblings. He noticed Scarlett wink at him at the same time Duncan’s eyes seemed to stray over to Delilah. Delilah, for her part, was now trying to get Jake’s attention, but he seemed rooted to the floor and more interested in looking over at him dancing with Alice. For a moment he thought he might have gone too far with Alice till he noticed that Jake didn’t seem angry at all. He even smiled at Logan when he nodded to the basketball player.

Looking for Sharon, he found her still dancing with Charlie. He didn't see anything unusual about it. They’ve been friends for a long time, like Scarlett and Duncan. He watched Charlie grip Sharon’s hips as she bent over, pushing her butt towards him. Logan suddenly noticed the way Sharon bit her lower lip as she rolled her hips around, and he knew, he knew she was grinding her ass all over his erection.

Something inside him seemed to click. He knew she had been with other guys just like he had with other girls. But that knowledge had always been in the abstract. Something he knew, but his mind refused to really accept. Watching her enjoy feeling someone else made him realize that he really didn’t want that. He didn’t want to know that his girl might be with someone else. He wanted his girl for himself.

“I’m… I’m going to get some fresh air,” he told Alice.

Alice nodded in understanding and gently placed her hand on his shoulder, “Just let me know ok.”

Logan nodded before he walked outside to stand by the railing. From the covered porch he watched the rain pour down all around him. The rich scent of rain-soaked earth filled his nose, mixing with the faint sound of waves crashing against the shore. He took a deep breath and let the coolness of the night air fill his lungs while a few droplets touched his skin. It helped him clear his head as he pondered these last few hours, his mind trying to wrap around his dilemma. This was definitely not the way he had dreamed things would go, and now he had to find a way forward. But how?

He stood there a few minutes, thinking things over and over. After a while, he didn’t remember how long, he heard the door behind him open and a voice call to him.

“Logan?”
