Travel plans, and other plans

The night passes uneventfully, for once. To avoid drawing too much attention, it’s a rare night of simple sleep, although Ferra still shares your bed. Despite not needing sleep, she definitely desires closeness, especially since being reunited. The separation was hard on her, and you know how hard because the other girls filled you in on the details.

You wake feeling quite well rested, although there’s still a nagging doubt in the back of your head telling you that everything is going too well. Though you’re not a natural pessimist, it seems like it’s been too easy. You sigh, shaking your head. No sense in thinking like that, there’s plenty of troubles ahead without imagining new ones.

You’re among the first to be ready, along with Ferra and Victor. The others are taking a bit longer, and you use the time to chat with Victor a bit.

“So, how far now?”

Victor thinks for a moment. “Well, this is the last leg of the journey, about a day along the road, then a few days through the woods. If all goes well, less than a week.”

You nod. “When we get back, I’ll want to see a map. I should have looked at one a long time ago.”

Victor smiles. “And I should have volunteered one. But until now we’ve been working by boat, it seemed less important.”

As you chat, a yawning Cassie wanders in. “Nicholas, I’ve discovered something. I sleep better when we have sex. I want sex before bed every night.”

Victor chuckles, and you roll your eyes. “I think we can work something out. But the other girls might get jealous of the attention…”

Ferra nods. “I want to be included in this as well. Surely you can satisfy us both each night.”

Cassie’s eyes light up. “Oooh! Bedtime orgies! I like that idea!”

You chuckle. “You don’t think that’ll get tiring?”

Cassie scoffs. “No way! I already talked with Alex about it, she loves the idea! And Sarah seems like she’ll be excited too, she’s almost as wild as Alex. And Melora…what do you think, Victor?”

The panther man shakes his head. “Nope, leave me out of this. Melora is like a little sister to me, I don’t want to hear it!”

Cassie giggles, and you can’t help but laugh. “Cassie, you’re turning into a bit of a wild one too. Where is this coming from?”

Ferra speaks up. “She did say she was hanging out with Alex. Their personalities mix well.”

Cassie grins, her colors pink and yellow. “Well, that’s part of it, but mostly I just want to be with my mate, you know?”

Ferra nods. “I understand completely.”

Both girls look at you with affection, and you smile. “You know I can’t say no to either of you. We’ll figure it out soon, promise.”

Cassie bounces in her seat, clapping excitedly.
