What happens to Mikasa?

Mikasa along with the rest of the 104th Training Corps had woken up early as always to train. Todays lesson focusing on the cadets ability to maneuver around the forest using their 3D Maneuver Gear.

Each cadet had been assigned their own personal set of gear for them to use. Mikasa was no different and walked over to the area where she stored it.

To her surprise she saw Annie Leonhart holding, who then approached Mikasa and handed it over

Annie: Here.

Mikasa took her gear, though she was suspicious of why Annie was holding it.

Mikasa: what are you up to, Annie?

Annie: Am I not allowed to do something kind?

Mikasa wanted to make another comment but when she heard Commandant Keith Shadis calling over cadets so that can get started, she just shrugged and began putting on the 3D Maneuver Gear. Better to not keep the Commandant waiting and besides her gear looked it was perfectly fine. At least to Mikasa.

Because what Mikasa couldn’t see was Annie smirking as Mikasa put on her gear. Annie pocketing a small tool used for tinkering with the 3D Maneuver Gear while Mikasa had her back turned to her

The two girls rushed over to where the rest of their cadets were meeting up. Only one of them was wearing gear that actually properly functioned.
