Training With Rage

Two days go by as you just continue your normal ritual. You're just enjoying another day in the Syndicate when you finally once again see the man know as Hawk enter the city early in the morning as you were getting a bite to eat at the Sicilian Tavern above the mountain. The instant you saw him your blood boiled and at that very moment you just wanted to go grab his arm and straight up ask him what happened. But no, you couldn't, at least not now as you see him walking with a handful of other Syndicate warriors making their way towards the castle. Usually it means he will be back for a night or two before he once more heads out on another task assigned by the Queen. You'll deal with him later...

You finish your meal and make your way back down into the mountain to begin your daily training with Zoe once again.

You deflect the next attack, pushing Zoe's Ulak high into the sky while you dodge the follow up with a simple sidestep. You're breathing heavily as you stall and just look at the Sunrider before you "Keep up the aggression! You have the short ranged weapons and need to stay on the offensive!" you order her. "Go hard with your Ulaks if you don't keep me on the defensive I'll gain the upper hand!"

"Darien!" she shouts "I know, I kno- Eeekkk!" you quickly attacked into her again. Your short sword swung down hard which at the last minute she blocked it. "Ugh!" she groaned out as the force was instrumental. "MMMM!" she grunts out from the blow.

With another four slashes you continued your assault on the High Commander with your sword and dagger combo "Ahhh, Ahhhh, Ahhhhh!!" you swing hard into the waiting Sunrider. You slashed with the sword, stabbed with the dagger, twirled with the sword and thrust with the dagger. All four attacks Zoe was able to dodge and weave with the best of them. "Offense!!" you yell at her which causes her to dodge a few more of your blows. Shortly after she believes she potentially sees an opening.

With a deep breath she lunges forward placing both her Ulaks together. It didn't catch you off guard at all as you ricochet both with your dagger. At the same time you lunge forward stepping to the side of the black haired Sunrider and as you pass by her you bring the handle down of your short sword hard into the side of her face, clocking her completely in the cheek.

"Oomf!" she groans out as it connects with the side of her head.

Zoe spins around, completely stunned and seeing stars from the attack but you're so in the moment you stay on the offense. As her body is wobbling in place you bring your dagger in for another attack. At the last minute her arm goes up and your dagger connects with the back of her forearm, missing the Ulak blade just barely but slicing into her body deep. "Ahhhhh!!" Zoe cries out as her entire body falls to the dirt surface below. A cloud of dust rising into the air as her body plops into the ground.

Her grip releases as both her Ulaks fall to the ground. "Ahh, Ahh, Ahhhh!!" she cries as her right hand immediately grips on the back of her left forearm squeezing the gash tight and trying her best to hold it shut to stop the bleeding "ohmygod ohmygod ohmygod, Darien!!!" she cries "ahhhhh!!!!" her eyes clench tight as her feet kick on the rocky ground "hurts hurts hurts!!" she yelps.

It took you a moment to realize what you did. You always knew when to pull your attack back or to not use as much force but with Hawk on your mind you must have been going a little too hard with the training "Oh fuck!!!" you realize what you did as you drop both your weapons and immediately jump to Zoe. You straddle her by placing each of your knees to the side of her waist to keep her body from thrashing as you quickly pull your cloth shirt up over your body only to immediately pull hard with your hands to rip it to shreds. As you tear off strands of cloth you order Zoe to sit up so you can tie these tight around her arm to help with the bleeding "Shit, I"m sorry Zoe!! I'm so sorry!!!" you keep saying as the improvised cloth bandages start to stain with her blood.

"Darien...Darien..." you see her eyes blink hard a few times "Why are you going so hard?! We're training! Why why why!!! Uhhh!! Why are you...oowwwww!!!!" she exclaims out with confusion from your assault "Ouch ouch ouchhhh!!!" she yells as you finish the tie and apply extra pressure on the wound.

Your mind was so pissed off about Hawk that you were attacking relentlessly into your High Commander. You thought you would take out all your rage onto this person and instead you ended up slashing Zoe deep on her arm. "I'm sorry, ohh fuck, I'm sorry Zoe!!" you hold tight on her arm "Zoe, oh geez, you'll be okay!" you shout.

"I think...I think I need a day or two off." she begins as a tear rolls down her cheek from the pain she's in "God this hurts! Oh my Syndicate this hurts bad!" she squeezes her arm harder as her eyes squint down with force.

"Zoe, I"m sorry! Fuck!!" you screech out "I'm sorry!!!" you place a hand on each of her shoulders and look into her eyes "I-I...Ummm,,,"

"It's, it's, it's okay!" she smiles through the pain "You're training me and I know I'll be the best soon! You just wait! Soon I'm going to beat your ass!" her tongue sticks out "And then I'll be apologizing to your stupid butt!" she grins through the pain as her hand grips tighter around her arm.

"Here, come with me!" you reach down to her hips and lift her body up "Come on!" you release her waist and take a few steps towards the mountain before turning around at Zoe who is just looking at you with a raised eyebrow. "Let's go get some ointment on that wound, redress it properly and then after the blood clots we can get a drink to ease some of the pain." you bear a toothy smile at her as you hold your hand out waiting for her to accept it.

She takes a step back and then just looks at you. The pain is holding in her eyes but she starts to smirk and shakes her head at you "Wow, Darien! Smooth! Very Smooth!" her teeth finally come out "Injure me, take off your shirt, fix me up and then try to liquor me up? You're really trying hard now!" she lets out a laugh "But nope! Nope nope nope! I'm still not going to sleep with you!"

"Z-Zoe!!!" you rebuttal "That's not what I"m trying to do..." you actually turn a little flush "I'm just trying to be nice after what I accidentally did." your hand goes up to the side of your head as you scratch it.

"OOOhhhh, let me just take off my whoooole shirt and just rip it like a true man!!!" she imitates your motions in the air "Just for you Zoe!!" her voice goes as gruff and manly as she can "Now come back to my roooom and I'll give you some ointment" she gives a wink before laughing hysterically.

You just let out a deep sigh at your High Commander "Are you done?" you ask in a not very annoyed tone.

"Yup yup! Come on let's go!" she skips over to you before swinging her injured arm around your waist "Ahhhhh Owwww!!" she wails as at least for a brief moment she forgot about the pain completely "Oopsies! Ow ow ow!!" she says with each step back towards the mountain.
