You have chosen to enter the world of Gensokyo, a tier seven world, granting you a starting budget of five-hundred-ninety credits as a base, this may vary depending on your chosen intensity level. As mentioned, you can further supplement your budget post-deployment by capturing in-demand individuals. The Company has taken the time to assemble a dossier of potential targets for your convenience. This dossier will be expanded over time.

Waifus in Gensokyo start at Tier Two, Credit rewards for captures/sales vary depending on intensity settings.

Tier Two:

• Hieda no Akyuu: Akyuu is the current Child of Miare ('child' is only part of the title, her actual age is somewhere in her late 20s or early 30s) she possesses the ability to perfectly remember anything she has experienced, and has fragmentary memories of her previous lives. She resides in the human village, and acts as the record keeper for Gensokyo.
  
• Motoori Kosuzu: Kosuzu is a close friend to Akyuu. She is capable of decyphering and form of text or code. She works at Suzunaan, a book rental shop in the human village.
  
• Ruukoto: Ruukoto is a robotic maid that Reimu won in a contest.
  

Tier Six:

• Koakuma: Koakuma is the demonic familiar of the magician Patchouli Knowledge, and acts as her assistant and librarian. Her true name is unknown, 'Koakuma' is merely a nickname meaning "little devil".
  
• Daiyousei: A stronger-than-average fairy living near the Misty Lake. A close friend to Cirno. Hasn't yet chosen a proper name for herself; 'Daiyousei' just means "big fairy". Her identity is still only partially formed, and she hasn't become associated with a particular element yet. Despite this, she's extremely cool-headed and sensible, particularly by fairy standards.
  
• Tatara Kogasa: Kogasa is a karakasa-obake, an umbrella that became a youkai after being abandoned. She 'feeds' on humans by surprising them and absorbing the emotional energy, but she's not very good at it. She also a blacksmith, and runs a smithery just outside the Human Village that caters to both human and youkai clients. The umbrella is actually her real body, and the humanoid form is a projection (though it is physical). Loosely affiliated with the Grassroots Youkai Network (GYN) due to her close ties to Sekibanki.
  
• Wakasagihime: Known mostly as Waka by her friends, Wakasagihime is a timid and soft-spoken mermaid living in the Misty Lake and a core member of the GYN, an informal alliance between many weaker youkai. May be romantically involved with Kagerou. Her hobby is collecting pretty stones from the bottom of her lake.
  
• Sekibanki: Sekibanki is a rokurokubi, a humanoid youkai capable of freely detaching her head from her body without harm, and often mistaken for a dullahan for that reason. Sekibanki specifically has developed the ability to temporarily duplicate her head as well. She's another core GYN member, and currently lives in the Human Village, hiding her youkai nature. Has recently become close friends with Kogasa.
  
• Imaizumi Kagerou: The final core member of the GYN, Kagerou is a werewolf living in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost. Despite her species, she's not particularly beast-like even during the full moon. Mostly, she finds full moons annoying because they cause her to grow excess body hair. May be romantically involved with Wakasagihime.
  
• Seiran: A moon rabbit formerly employed by the lunarian military, Seiran defected due to mistreatment during a failed incursion into Gensokyo and now lives on earth. The stains on her mallet aren't blood, but rather red bean paste from pounding mochi.
  
• Ringo: Another moon rabbit, from the same unit as Seiran, Ringo is another lunarian defector. The two of them now work as rival dango sellers in the Human Village.
  
• Rumia: A youkai capable of manipulating darkness, Rumia uses this ability mainly in her attempts to attack humans. Unfortunately for her, the only way she knows how to use the this ability is to surround herself in a sphere of darkness roughly 5 feet in diameter. Her night vision isn't substantially better than an average human, so the net effect of this is rendering herself blind within an extremely conspicuous black orb. For this reason, she often flies into trees. The ribbon in her hair is actually an amulet, and Rumia herself is unable to touch it. Unconfirmed rumors suggest that this item seals away her true power.
  
• Inaba Tewi: The leader of Gensokyo's population of earth rabbit youkai, Tewi acts as a subordinate to Eirin and Kaguya for her own reasons. She's mischievous by nature and often plays pranks. Retaliation for these pranks is often a lost cause, as she has supernaturally good luck, which is likely how she's lived to be over 1,600 years old, despite making a habit of antagonizing powerful people for her own amusement.
  
• Okunoda Miyoi: An employee of and poster girls for Geidontei, a pub located in the Human Village, Miyoi is a Zashiki-warashi a benevolent 'house-spirit' type of youkai, and one of very few youkai species that is welcome to live openly in the village. Recently, she's begun opening the pub after-hours for youkai clients. Capable of manipulating memories.
  
• Alice Margatroid: A youkai magician originating from Makai, Alice's magical specialty lies with the dolls she creates and animates with her magic. Her current goal is the creation of an autonomous doll. Close friend, and possible romantic interest, of Marisa.
  
• Luna Child: One of the three fairies of light, Luna is capable of muffling sound.
  
• Star Sapphire: One of the three fairies of light, Star is capable of detecting moving things.
  
• Sunny Milk: One of the three fairies of light, Sunny is capable of refracting light.
  

Tier Seven:

• Patchouli Knowledge: Patchouli is the resident magician at the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and manages the library there. Her specialty is elemental magic, and she has achieved a high degree of mastery over the elements of Fire, Water, Wood, Metal, Earth, Sun, and Moon. She is also the best friend of the mistress of the mansion, Remilia Scarlet.
  
• Hong Meiling: Meiling is an expert in Chinese martial arts, and skilled at manipulating ki. She's nominally the guard of the SDM's gate, but because many of the mansion's residents are more powerful than she is, her role in practice is mostly to filter out potential intruders that aren't worth the others' time. However, her exterior posting, combined with her friendly and approachable demeanor allow her to serve an invaluable role in maintaining positive relations with the local fairies and youkai; it's unclear if either she or Remilia are aware of this.
  
• Izayoi Sakuya: The head maid of the SDM, and its only human resident. She is capable of manipulating space and time, primarily in the form of stopping time. She uses this ability to maintain the household near-flawlessly, and can combine it with her prodigious knife-throwing skill for combat purposes. Her origins are mysterious, but her loyalty to Remilia is absolute.
  
• Cirno: An ice fairy living on the shore of the Misty Lake, Cirno's hot-headed recklessness is at odds with her elemental affiliation. Confidently claims to be the strongest of all fairies, and while the accuracy of this claim is dubious at best, there's no doubt that she's exceptionally powerful for a fairy. Has a reputation for stupidity, but her intelligence is also exceptionally high for a fairy, though that's hardly high praise. Strongly associated with the number 9 due to mysterious energies from beyond the fourth wall.
  
• Kamishirasawa Keine: Keine works as a schoolteacher in the Human Village, and is somewhat of an authority figure there. She's a were-hakutaku, and thus half youkai, affording her greater power than most humans, and this makes her one of the primary defenders of the Human Village in a crisis. During full moons, she assumes her were-hakutaku form becoming more powerful and growing horns. Her human form is capable of eating history, and her were-hakutaku form is capable of creating history. It's not clear how either of these abilities work. Has a a close, possibly romantic, relationship with Mokou.

• Reisen Udongein Inaba: Reisen is a rabbit from the moon who works as an assistant to Eirin, and defected to earth with her. Looking directly into her eyes is capable of causing madness. Her specialty is the ability to manipulate waves, including sound waves, electromagnetic wavelengths, and brainwaves. Romantically involved with Youmu. Though she's still a moon rabbit by species, Reisen now considers herself to be an earth rabbit in the ways that matter, and has embraced the impurities of her adopted home.
  
• Kirisame Marisa: A self-proclaimed ordinary magician, Marisa is considered to be the most skilled human magic user in all of Gensokyo. A rival and close friend to Reimu, Marisa is one of the first to respond when an incident occurs. Her reckless and carefree mannerisms belie a studiousness and diligent side that she doesn't often show to others. Her magical ability is born of thousands of hours of study and practice. Has a reputation for thievery, particularly left of books. She claims that she only borrows things, reasoning that her human lifespan is much shorter than the lifespans of those she takes things from, and they can have their things back when she dies. Rides on a broomstick when she flies, but only for the witchy aesthetic, as she's perfectly capable of flying without it.
  
• Hata no Kokoro: Kokoro is a menreiki, a type of tsukumogami composed of a collection of masks. She awakened as a youkai when one of her 66 masks, her mask of hope, was stolen. Her actual face is generally expressionless, with her emotional state being reflected by her masks instead. Capable of manipulating emotions.
  
• Yatadera Narumi: Narumi is a jizou statue that became a youkai magician due to the ambient magical energy found in the Forest of Magic. Specializes in the manipulation of life energy.
  
• Kochiya Sanae: The Moriya Shrine's shrine maiden, Sanae came from the outside world, along with the shrine itself, as well as the shrine's gods. They came to Gensokyo in search of a place to gather faith as belief in the supernatural continued to wane in the outside world. Sanae herself is actually a distant descendant of Suwako, and has gained quite a bit of faith herself, making her a living god in her own right. Capable of causing miracles.
  
• Shameimaru Aya: Aya is a crow tengu who runs a newspaper known as Bunbunmaru news. She's renowned as the fastest flyer in Gensokyo, but otherwise has a very poor reputation due to her newspaper's tendency to heavily twist the truth or outright lie to its readers, as well as her habit of stirring up trouble to manufacture a story.
  

Tier Eight:

• Remilia Scarlet: Remilia is the mistress of the SDM. She is a vampire who falsely claims to be descended from Vlad Tepes. Whatever her lineage, she is still among the most powerful known vampires in her world. She claims to be capable of manipulating fate itself, but the mechanism and potency of this ability are unclear.
  
• Hakurei Reimu: Known as the Shrine Maiden of Paradise, Reimu is Gensokyo's premier incident resolver. Despite youkai extermination being a core part of her duties (and the only part of her duties she approaches with anything resembling diligence), she's very well-liked by the youkai of Gensokyo, and it's rare that a day goes by without at least a few of them dropping by to visit the shrine. She's rather lazy and carefree, relying mostly on her innate talent to win her battles. Capable of flying away from reality, an ability that makes her functionally invulnerable while it's active.
  
• Yasaka Kanako: The head god of the Moriya Shrine, Kanako seeks to become a god of technology, though her original domain is wind and rain. Became head of the shrine by defeating Suwako in a war, but was unable to maintain control of the local populace due to her inability to command the Mishaguji, and thus chose to allow Suwako to remain in a nominally subordinate position, though in practice the two are more like partners.
  
• Moriya Suwako: Suwako is a goddess of the land who is capable of commanding the Mishaguji, which are serpent-like curse gods. Takes on mannerisms and motifs associated with frogs despite her divine domain not having any connection to them. She just really likes frogs.
  

Tier Nine:

• Flandre Scarlet: Flandre is Remilia's more powerful younger sister. She possesses an ability that allows her to destroy absolutely anything if the right conditions are met. She resides in the SDM's basement and is rarely seen anywhere else. It was once believed that Remilia had her sealed there to prevent a destructive rampage, but in reality she's just a bit of a shut-in. Caution is advised.
  
• Yagokoro Eirin: Once known as the "brain of the moon", Eirin was banished to earth for creating the Hourai Elixir, a taboo **** capable of granting the drinker complete, perfect immortality. She's actually much more powerful than Kaguya, but limits herself out of respect.
  
• Houraisan Kaguya: The mistress of Eintei is the legendary Kaguya-hime who was recorded in a classic Japanese folk tale. A lunarian princess, It was Kaguya who asked Eirin to create the Hourai Elixir for her. After consuming it, she too was banished to earth. There, Kaguya became renowned for her beauty, but spurned all suitors. The five suitors who were too important to dismiss out of hand, she instead sent on hopeless quests to find legendary artifacts for her. When the her period exile ended, she refused to return to the moon, and instead went into hiding, eventually settling in Gensokyo, but only after personally collecting all five of the legendary artifacts to prove a point.
  
• Fujiwara no Mokou: Mokou is the daughter of one of the suitors Kaguya sent to retrieve a legendary item. She saw her father drive herself to ruin in an attempt to accomplish the task. When his futile quest ultimately cost him his life, Mokou swore **** on the woman who had destroyed her father. Mokou stole a dose of the Hourai Elixir, and spent centuries developing her magical abilities. In the modern day, she lives in the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, and acts as a guide there. She regularly clashes with Kaguya, but neither can permanently kill the other.
  

Tier X:

• Yakumo Yukari: Yukari is an extraordinarily powerful youkai, capable of manipulating boundaries. In practice, this ability can warp reality due to the fact that most things can be conceptualized as a form of boundary (for example, one's physical body can be considered to be the Boundary between World and Self). She is one of the sages responsible for the creation of Gensokyo, and played a pivotal role in the formation of the Hakurei Barrier. Contractors are strongly advised to avoid drawing her attention at all costs until they are ready to capture her. Furthermore capture should only be attempted once the Contractor is confident they have some means of subduing her long enough for the capture to take, which will likely require the support of several other High Tier waifus.
