Touching down on the planet's surface

You didn't have many possessions to gather up. Just your armor and some of the fabricated clothing that you were allowed to take with you. You made sure that your armor was spotless before putting it on for the short trip down. It technically wasn't required but Lily had insisted on the precaution. The ride on the shuttle down was much smoother than you were used to. You didn't even notice that you had nodded off until you awoke to Lily gently shaking you awake.

"We're here sunshine. Lets get dressed and get out of here. Too damned busy in these places." She said, as you got up and led you to a changing room. It took a few minutes for you to switch out of your armor and when you regrouped with Lily you began to make your way through the crowds. Off to the side you could see the unmarked slaves going through a line for processing. You tried to hide your face when passing them but you felt certain that some saw you getting special treatment and wondered what was up. Or that could have just been your imagination.

When you finally exited the terminal to the arrival area you saw a woman holding up a sign with Lily's name on it. Her light brown hair was braided over her shoulder allowing you to see as her hazel eyes lit up as she caught sight of Lily. As you got closer you noticed that she appeared to be at least a month pregnant. Lily's face was seemed like it was going to split in half from the smile on it and when you finally reached the woman Lily picked her up and spun her around, ending with a very passionate kiss to the catcalls and wolf whistles of the nearby bystanders. After that display Lily turned to you as if just remembering you were there.

"Gwen this is Shandra, she's my new marked. Shandra this is Gwen. My wife." Lily introduced, saying that second part for her own benefit rather than yours, considering how she seemed to savor the word. "How are the kids doing?" She asked, turning back to her wife. You felt a bit like a third wheel but you remembered Lily saying something about her wife just getting back from the IAA so you weren't going to begrudge them their reunion.

"Adi is taking care of them. They're all waiting for you back home so we should probably hurry before they get too worried. Or before Kanne eats everything." Gwen said with her own smile as she led the way to a large van. It was a quick matter to load everything into it and soon you were sitting in the backseat as it made its own way down the road.

After the amount of time you'd spent in space you were glad to be back on solid ground and despite your nap on the shuttle you let the van rock you to sleep to let Lily and Gwen have some privacy.
