What's next?
Total gridlock
You begin to think about the movie Falling Down. Michael Douglas going off the rails on a hot summer day, and it turns out he was laid off months ago and he's doing the morning commute on autopilot.
Sad thing is, a lot of younger folks who arent cinephiles probably haven't even seen it. Still, it's a pretty good rendition of the situation you find yourself in, even if you still have your job at Cash Inc..
You pull your car over and out of the standstill after about an hour. Walking to work would literally be faster, although it's quite a trek from out here in the suburbs. Part of you wishes you'd stayed home with your gorgeous housemate Jennifer. Just thinking about her gives you a boner - one that a passer-by clearly notices and shuffles on, blushing furiously.
You lime up your sense of direction, orientate yourself roughly with the location of the office, and get ready to Fall Down.
