Torch: Turbulent Times

Eve had been discussing the possibility of having a permanent camp nearby town, just across the river. She had brought up the benefits of being ready if Chief had asked them of something, learning from humanoid civilization, and building trust between the three tribes, while Torch had brought up several downsides, such as the humans feeling threatened by their presence and conflict among the goblinoids **** to stay together. They'd gone back and forth on the subject for over an hour, with the tyrant goblin needing to 'take a break' in the middle.

"We need to come together eventually, and a camp here will help. If we don't do this now, we're pushing the problem upriver." Eve pats the head of the more devil-like of Dusk's children as she takes a nap in the goblin's lap. "How can we work well together if we don't...if we..." Eve sways, her hand going to her head before she suddenly falls onto her back.

"Eve?" Torch sits up, seeing her counterpart's eyes closed. She crawls on hands and feet to Eve's head, placing a hand on it. She's very warm... This is...not good. Healer was back at the barn, and who knew when Chief would be back? That left, unfortunately, one option. Torch picked up the **** goblin onto her back, dangling her arms over Torch's shoulders. "Everyone, stay hidden. I'll be back." The other goblinoids had been a bit anxious since Eve dropped, especially since she was the only one that could reliably communicate with the humans, but all nodded. Even the hornet nodded, despite Torch's belief that she didn't entirely understand the words she spoke.

The walk through town was...interesting. While no one recognized Torch and seemed hostile at first glance, they then saw Eve and hesitated. In fact, more than once, Torch thought she saw one human a handful of times, skulking between the buildings. Eventually, the hobgoblin reached the big stone building - a 'church', as Eve had put it - without any of the humans so much as approaching her. Entering, she stopped at the entrance for a moment before spotting a man with similar clothing to the healer that Eve claimed was her family. They immediately made eye contact, and the man approached warily. He spoke some gibberish, but Torch recognized Eve's name among the words.

Trying her best at humish, "human help Eve."
