Chapter 2 by Wikia Wikia

Who do you want to follow?

Tommy -- Adult-Baby Orphan

There were many people out there who knew about the infantilist colony and wanted to be a part of it. People who were lucky enough to have friends and relatives that were understanding enough to move with them and become a part of the community

Unfortunately, there were people who weren't so lucky. People who wanted to be a part of the ABDL community, but lacked anyone to share the lifestyle with. People who were cut-off and set adrift because of their interests, or people who, due to mental or physical disabilities, had everything to lose not to be a part of the town.

Thankfully, the town's Mayor -- Gabriella Flores -- started out as an experienced attorney before she went into politics. Using her experience, she was able to pull in enough donations, grants and federal funds to create a haven for those less fortunate than her.

That money founded what would be called the Marie Smith-Flores Foster Home for Little Ones. Named after her daughter, a teenage baby she loved more than anything, Mayor Flores had founded the Foster Home for babies who didn't have families to take care of them.

In the books, the Foster Home was an orphanage, community center and homeless shelter all rolled into one.

Right now it was playtime. It was thirty minutes until lunchtime and all of the babies were playing in the "Busy Bee" playroom.

Tommy Lake was dressed in a pair of white socks, a white t-shirt with Barney the Dinosaur on the front and dressed in a baby-blue diaper, which he was in the process of pooping in. He was on all fours when he did it, and when he was finished, he crawled up to a toy chest and picked a stuffed dinosaur.

He crawled to a far off corner of the room and sat there, the mess in his pants spreading as he hugged the plush animal in his arms, one of his thumbs sneaking into his mouth.

A girl his age -- dressed in a pink onsie, her black hair tied back in pigtails and a binky in her mouth -- crawled up to him and sat up on her own padded bottom. Her nose wrinkled, smelling Tommy's messy diaper but choosing not to bring it up, as she took the binky out of her mouth.

"So... it's Monday."

Tommy said nothing, though he nodded his head, careful not to take the thumb out of his mouth.

"You excited?"

He didn't say anything, avoiding eye contact.

"You might get adopted today. That's exciting right?"

When he didn't say anything, she shoved him.

"Come on, don't be like that!"

She started to tickle him under his arms, causing him to laugh uncontrollably. He even peed himself a little, though that was standard. Eventually, she stopped tickling him and he sat back up, feeling a little less nervous.

"I-I'm just worried."

"About what?"

"I... this is my first interview and I don't want to blow it. I don't want them to think I'm..."

"What?"

"I dunno... gross? Freakish? Not cute enough for them?"

"Not cute enough? Look at you! You're as cute as a button! If I wanted to be a mommy, I'd be your mommy in a heartbeat."

"B-But... I poopied..." he said, suddenly whispering with embarrassment.

"Babies poop. That's normal. If anything that'll win you cuteness points for people who actually want to be mommies and daddies."

"But wha--" Tommy was interrupted when the girl shoved her binky in his mouth, silencing him. He instinctually started sucking on it, blushing when he remembered that it was in her mouth a minute ago.

"Enough of that. You're an adorable baby boy and anyone would be lucky to have you. This isn't high school where you'll be scrutinized under a telescope. You're back in daycare now and all you have to worry about is your bottle and being loved. That's why you came here right? Stop acting your age and enjoy yourself."

Tommy had moved to town after graduating high school. His parents wanted him to go to college, get a career and become an accomplished adult like them, but with the recent recession and all the pressure put on him, a part of him snapped. He got in his car and, without telling anyone, drove North. As he checked into a Motel in the middle of nowhere, he noticed a pamphlet that advertised the Infantilist Colony, the community it had established and the lifestyle it represented, a part of it clicked for him.

Since he was all alone, he had no way of supporting himself and living the lifestyle the colony advertised until he was told about the Foster program the mayor had recently made. He walked right into the facility, signed himself in, had what little he had (his spare clothes, his car, his phone) put in storage and he was escorted into the changing room.

He had been in the orphanage for a month. Public funds and private donations made the whole thing rent-free. He had three square-meals a day, free clothes and he didn't even have to wipe himself (in-fact that part was discouraged). He had taken to being babied like a duck to water, but something was missing. He had made many friends at the orphanage and his basic needs were met, but it lacked a sort of intimacy parents could provide.

Mondays were "adoption day", meaning that grown-ups who wanted a baby to take care of in the Infantilist Colony were coming to meet people who were in the program. If the wannabe-parents liked the wannabe-baby enough, they would take them home and adopt them as their new family.

Today was his first interview and he didn't want to mess it up.
