What's next?

To the park (Mackenzie's perspective)

"So," I said when we were outside. I had put on my favorite sandals and was walking between Lea and Craig, who were both holding my hands. Apparently that was mandatory now, unless they used a leash which was not happening. "You liked it when we kissed, huh?"

For once it was Lea's turn to blush. "Fuck off, you know I'm bi and you're pretty. Only reason we're friends."

I laughed. "I befriended you when we were little kids, dumbass."

Lea smirked up at me. "Well it's the only reason we stayed friends when you had your freakish growth spurt. You think I'd hang out with some weirdo giantess if she was anything short of drop-dead gorgeous?"

I smiled back, glad we could still banter like this. "Oh please. You couldn't have stopped being my friend if you wanted to, because I would have stuffed you in a bag and carried you off to my lair, you freaking midget. Remember this was before you had Craig to protect you."

Craig decided that was the perfect time for some self-deprecating humor. "At that age I wouldn't have been much help anyway. All I would have done is sneak after you to watch from the bushes. I was a gangly geek unil I discovered the gym a couple years later."

"Now we just have to work on the 'geek' part and you'll be the perfect man," Lea teased her boyfriend.

"Hey, what's wrong with being a geek?" he defended himself. "Actually, don't answer that. Anyway, there's the park."

Sure enough, we had reached the gates to the city's central park. I'd never been a nature-lover, so I had no idea what to expect.
