To the lighthouse

After Chloe informed the others of their dilemma, they set off for the lighthouse in Chloe’s pickup truck, not given much other choice. Chloe quickly left a note for her mom to find just so there wouldn’t be a search party sent out. Victoria and Max were in the bed while Chloe drove with Rachel in the passenger seat.

“So we’re meeting Stacy Grinch at the lighthouse?” Victoria asked.

“Steph Gingrich,” Chloe said. “And yes, she said she would bring something for us to wear and has a friend she’d like us to meet.”

“I suppose it could be worse,” Rachel mumbled.

“Yeah, but she’ll go ape shit when she sees you naked,” Chloe mumbled.

“Why?” Rachel asked.

Chloe raised an eyebrow. “Wait… you don’t know?”

Rachel shrugged her shoulders. “What should I know?”

“Oh, well… you didn’t hear it from me, but Steph kinda liked you,” Chloe said. “Dunno about now, but she had a big old crush back before you disappeared.”

“Huh… I guess that explains some things,” Rachel said.

“I still haven’t forgiven you for sabotaging my homework,” Victoria said.

Chloe snickered. “It’s not my fault you don’t know the periodic table.”

“I know all about periods thank you very much!” Victoria hissed

Chloe debated about correcting Victoria but decided not to as she stopped at the bottom of the long hill that winded up to the lighthouse. Chloe noticed another car parked that read HVN SPRNG. “Come on, let’s get this over with,” Chloe said as she hopped out.

The others followed as Chloe took point. As they made their way up the hill, the saw two figures sitting on the bench. “Well , well,” one of the figures said as they stood up. “So… you’re the group that’s been streaking around town, huh?”

The girls blushed as the other stood revealing Steph smirking. “I dunno Alex, how do you think they feel?”
