To the castle

A Royal Trip

Of course, when in a new place, search for someone with authority and they might help you! A solid plan!

You decided to go to the castle, and after a couple hours, you are crossing the drawbridge, and you can see large walls rising above you, with fountains evenly spaced nearby. The entire architecture is grandly built. With white walls and intricate patterns carved into the castle's main structure, some filled in with gold, some as simple unfilled carvings. But it gives the outside a more mystical, grand look.

The insides of the castle seem similar to a shopping mall. With lots of store-like areas with people inside buying goods. You see expensive looking clothes. A potion shop and what looks like a weapon shop among others. These three are the largest stores.

There's a water fountain in the center, large and proud, spraying water in sequence around a statue of who you assume is the queen.

There are chairs and benches near it, seeming like a place to hang out and talk, as some people are doing.

There are some offices where you can wait in line to seek an audience with the Queen. Each one a different color and with a different symbol above the door.

And at the back, there is a large carpeted staircase, with rails on either side and guards standing on either side of it. In white and gold armor and holding weapons, chatting with each other as they occasionally glance over the surroundings.

There are also some guards patrolling as well. With a relatively heavy amount of them, two or so per office with a few more standing before the staircase. The ones in front of the office have different armors.

With one wearing heavier looking armor, covering up more of their bodies in more browns and golds.

One wears cleaner white robes, like that of a healer, with puffy sleeves and an equally puffy skirt.

And the last group wears tighter fitting clothing, like a black lab coat mixed with a bodysuit.

Deciding that it's probably a good idea to tell one of the guards of your situation. You look at the three types, before deciding that the robe wearing ones are the least intimidating. So you go up to one of them.

You give your greetings, and explain to her that you don’t know how you got here or where even here is and while she looks at you confused, she turns to her companion and they share a hushed conversation before nodding.

They ask you to come inside so that they can ask someone higher up to explain things to you.

So you enter into the pristine white office, like a lab more than anything, with clean black couches on the white walls and floor, and white cushions on said couches, you walk up to the receptionist, who looks at you a little oddly before the two of you talk, you again explain what's going on to her, and she gives you a small piece of paperwork, which you fill out and hand back promptly, before she asks you to take a seat and wait for a while. Disappearing behind a curtain of sorts that you swore was a wall moments before.

And so you wait… and wait… and wait… An hour. Maybe two going by, as you read magazines that were sitting on a table, look at the way the lights shine above you, and how pristine the walls are. Looking back occasionally, you still don’t see the receptionist you talked to.

Tired of waiting, sitting down, you get up and go to the desk, and still see no one, could it be that she forgot about you? Maybe something happened? You can't wait anymore, so you go past her desk and push aside the curtain-like wall that expands out into a large corridor that you traverse down. White walled, with small lamps. And it continues on for a while before coming up to a T intersection.
