"Bernice, it's good to see you," Moses said smoothly, hugging the Black woman. She was in her mid-40s. "Baby, this is Bernice. She was my secretary back in the day."
Back in the day meant his political era. Elizabeth shook hands with the Black woman, smiling prettily.
"Nice to meet you Bernice," Elizabeth said.
"Might find neighborhood you have here," Bernice said, looking around the mansion. "A little fancy where I come from."
"Well," Elizabeth said. "Moses is trying to get me more into Black culture."
"I bet," Bernice said. "I can help with that. I bet we'll be good friends."
