To cancel the project

Liara looked down, tears forming. “I’ve decided to… to let Shepard rest,” Liara said.

Miranda immediately got up and wrapped her arms around Liara. “Hey, it’s okay,” Miranda said. “I know this is hard.”

“I just… I can’t… I can’t bring her back into a world… that wants her to be a hero again,” Liara said. “She should be able to see the changes that she’s made, but… if I bring her back, you know what would happen. Everyone would expect her to serve again or something. She’s served enough. She deserves peace. She deserves… freedom.”

“I’ll go ahead and cancel the project,” Miranda said. “We’ll give Shepard a proper memorial. A proper burial.”

Liara nodded. “That would be… perfect. We should let everyone else know of our decision,” Liara said. “I want everyone to be able to attend the memorial. Everyone.”

Miranda nodded. “Understood,” Miranda said. “I’ll make the arrangements.”
