Time to open up?

Mike entered the burger joint, quickly found a small table in the back and took a seat as he nervously waited for Ashley to arrive. After about fifteen minutes Ashley finally walked in the door and, once again, Mike couldn't help but stare at her. She wasn't dressed in anything special, having just thrown on sweatpants and a jacket, but to Mike this was the most beautiful she had ever looked. He wasn't a fan of girls who felt they had to make themselves attractive. He had fallen for this women because of how difficult she was to read and her natural beauty. Standing up to greet her, he pulled her chair out for her which she chuckled at but accepted nonetheless and sat down. They ordered food and made small talk for a little bit. Mike had so much he wanted to say but somehow couldn't get any of it out.

Mike was going to start asking some personal questions next, to try and find out a little more about her; but as he was about to speak she spoke first. "Why me?" she asked.

A little confused by the question and knowing that the question could mean different things, Mike replied, "What do you mean?"

Ashley paused then let out a sigh as she continued, "Why me? You're a very fit guy and you could have asked any girl here for a dance and they would have happily given you one. Why ask me when I am 10 years older than anyone else at the club?"

Mike paused, knowing that he had to answer this honestly but didn't want to be too forward and scare her away. He finally answered her; saying, "When I first saw you I couldn't figure you out. I'm usually really good with people but I couldn't get a read on you at all and that intrigued me. Because you are a little older you have an intimidating vibe about you. But that is why I chose you."

Ashley sat quietly for a second. Usually men only ever comment on the size of her ass or how nice her boob job looked. She give Mike a soft smile and said "You know, most men are intimidated by me. That chases them away and so I never get any regular clients."

Mike was so incredibly nervous. She had started opening up to him and he couldn't decide how much he wanted to tell her. In the end, he decided to just go for it. Mike looked her in the eyes and said "I'm scared of you." Ashley gave him a sad look upon hearing this, like she was expecting it but he continued. "I am scared of you because when I see you I get so nervous it's like I'm back in High School. I'm scared of you because when you smile your cheeks get little dimples that are so cute I can't help but stare. I'm scared of you because when I'm around you I forget all my past problems. I'm scared of you because you make me want to open my heart up again, and that scares me more than anything." They sat in silence with Mike sweating bullets. Everything he just said had seemed to pour out of him without thinking. Ashley flashed the smile that Mike loved and he exhaled the biggest breath of his life; overjoyed that he hadn't messed anything up.

After Mikes little speech they went back to chatting about nothing, mostly talking about the gym. Mike would comment on how fit she looked on the stage and she would blush slightly. They finished eating and Mike paid the bill even though Ashley fought him on it. As the two of them walk through the parking lot Mike turned to Ashley and asked, "Would like to go back to my apartment for a drink?"

Her response was first just a smirk, then she said "I don't hook up on the first date." She could sense Mike's unease at this response and began to laugh.

He decided on the spot to give it back to her and smoothly replied "Well, a real woman is worth waiting for."

Her face instantly flushed a deep red and she was rendered speechless, and now it was Mike's turn to laugh. At this, Ashley almost yelled, "What's so funny!?" with a clearly demanding tone.

Still laughing, Mike explained "You're always making me speechless. Now I finally got to return the favor." She paused for a moment, only to join in on all the laughing which continued for a few minutes. Once the two finally calmed down Mike walked her the rest of the way to her car and thanked her for the fun night. She looked up at him and gave him a small peck on the lips; not much of a kiss but still enough to make him blush and smile. Ashley got into her car and, before Mike closed the door for her, he decided to ask her one more thing. He looks at her and quietly asked "Since you work out by yourself, would you want to workout with me?" She paused for a second, than agreed with a smile. They quickly settled on a time and place to meet up, then she drove away; leaving Mike standing in the middle of the parking lot feeling like the happiest man in the world.
