Chapter 8
by Storm Chyld
What now?
Time to go, girl in tow.
Zack grabbed a towel and wet it with the sink faucet. "Go get cleaned up, and dressed." Zack told the girl, and much to his surprise, she went back into the bathroom.
As he quickly cleaned up, the girl reappeared in her towel again, her skin freshly slick with water. He watched the open door, pistol in hand, while she went into her bedroom, and got dressed.
Coming out in jeans, sneakers and a tight white t shirt, she had forgotten or chose not to wear a bra, leaving her big damp breasts outlined for him to see. Licking his lips at the thought of having company, Zack tried to focus on getting somewhere safer.
"Follow me, don’t talk, don’t make noise." He told her, hoping she would follow his directions. Again he was surprised as she made very little noise following him through the window.
Glancing down the fire escape to the alley below, he still saw no movement. Turning his attention upward, he began to ascend to the roof once more, the beautiful zombie woman following behind him.
Coming up on the roof, he cautiously checked to make sure the coast was clear. Sighing relieved, he enjoyed the fact that he was on the tallest building in the direct vicinity. The only thing blocking his visibility was the roof access door.
In the distance the monolithic structure of St Vincent hospital rose like an obelisk dedicated to hope. Zack had taken lesson flying helicopters. If he could get there, and if their was a helicopter still there, he could get out of this nightmare. It was time to survey the land.
Moving to one side, he quietly looked out into the open streets in front of the building. Cars were left desolate like large toys left unattended by an adolescent Some were even burning softly in the cold night air. Mixed among the vehicles zombies wandered aimlessly. A few even fought for whatever reason had struck them. Glancing at the girl next to him, he saw no reaction to them, in her eyes.
If Zack was to get through the street he would have to spend enough bullets to thin the heard. Moving low, behind the protective wall, to keep people from falling off the building, he moved along the alley way, that bridged a convenience store. As he moved to check the alleyways near the fire escape, he saw movement out across the way.
Curious he holstered his pistol, and pulled his rifle up, using the scope to help him. Past the convince store, and the office building next to it, across an intersecting street, he saw a large ware house. Perched on the corner, was a beautiful brunette in a sexy modern business suit. The skirt was short, and her legs dangled off the building as she watched the street below. Her blazer hung open, and her large breasts strained against the blouse, the first couple of buttons already letting them breathe. Dangling from her mouth, slithering across her clevage and down between her legs, to lick her naked slit, was her very long tongue.
Zack had never seen a tongue like that, it was thick, an longer then her arm, and moved like a snake, like it had muscles in places it shouldn’t have. In a human the tongue was the strongest muscle, apparently for this zombie it was even more. If he went toward the streets, he might have to take her out, but then maybe she was docile, like this one.
Again the girl had no reaction on her face, though he could tell she didn’t see the other woman. Shrugging Zack continued toward the other corner, and glanced down into the darkness. He couldn't see any movement so he traced his eyes along the alleys toward the subway. The subway might be a good way to get to the hospital, though it didn’t favor his style.
As he continued to watch he saw movement down in the alley, a small lithe form, slipping through the shadows. He couldn’t get a good look at what it was, but he doubted it was human, and he was sure it wasn’t a dog.
What should Zack do now?
