For now, he has his way.
Time to clean out the trash
A/N: I feel like I should update this more frequently, and yet I seem to have invested my energy elsewhere.
Augustine Tomah was wroth with fury, unable to control himself as he tossed and turned every single piece of furniture in his terrible tantrum as unfortunate onlookers did their best to keep their distance and stay out of the line of fire, their arms hugged tightly in front of their torsos.
"Blast that Aviel! Why did she have to be so popular!? Why is she the chairman of our party and not me!?"
"B-But Sir, if not for her than our party-"
"I know that!!" Augustine shouted, "But if we let that woman continue to remain in control, what about us!? What if one day, she decides that we're not worth the effort of keeping around and decides to sack us!? Worse, she may find out our involvement with the Warlords and then imprison us on such charges!"
Unfortunately, the doors were kicked down to reveal a group of soldiers quickly surrounding them and detaining the rest of Augustine's lackeys. Leading them was none other than Aviel herself, dressed in military fatigues.
"So you're the mastermind manipulating some of the Warlords," She said, voice even and betraying no emotion, "I guess I shouldn't be surprised."
"And what are you going to do about it?" Augustine taunted.
"This."
And raising a double-barreled shotgun, she fired straight into Augustine's gut, spilling gore all over the place and sending him flying backwards. A fatally wounded Augustine felt blood pooling in his mouth, and stared open-eyed at Aviel in his final moments with fear and terror before finally expiring.
All of Augustine's lackeys let out gasps of shock at the gruesome, merciless display, and Aviel's cold tone caused them to shudder.
"Take them away."
With Augustine's lackeys dead and all the corrupt officials purged for good, there was now the matter of dealing with the aftermath.

With the deaths of Augustine Tomah and all his subordinates and connections, the True Whig Party fell under her total control with no one left to oppose her.
Sworn in as the new President of Liberia, Aviel wasted no time investigating the other political parties of Liberia, and while none have truly gone as far as to bribe the Warlords as Augustine did, several members of their key leadership were found guilty of various petty crimes from embezzlement to blackmailing and even bribery. Thus, acting on those charges, the police arrested a huge majority of their parties and left them rudderless.
Thus, they had no other option but to be taken under Aviel's wing.
Declaring the True Whig Party defunct, she declared the formation of the Central Unity Party (CAP), and rigorously worked to set the foundation of a government with a primary focus on skill, competency and loyalty regardless of race, language or religion.
Due to the vacancies created by Aviel's merciless purging in what would be known as the 'Night of Brimstone', Aviel had to promote many new officials out of necessity. Most lacked the skills needed to hold their positions, and so the top positions were filled by Aviel's trusted subordinates - a mixture of local and foreign talents - while the unskilled politicians were made to perform grunt work.
And as Aviel's new government slowly took shape, many African politicians and diplomats from across the continent came to pay their respects to the new Aviel Administration. Many came to sus out her intentions, or to simply perform due decorum.
Aviel did not hold much hope for lasting alliances, in truth; not to mean any offense to the Africans, but too many of their governments lacked the capacity to truly steer their country forward, mired by endemic corruption and lack of experience, or interference by Western countries.
Still, at least for appearance's sake and for geopolitical reasons, she focused on maintaining good relations with them to ensure her country's survival until Liberia could truly become a regional economic and military power.
Shaking hands and greasing palms with all manner of pigs, snakes and vultures was a tiresome and bothersome process, and after several hours she finally earned a well-deserved break, slumping down on her chair in audible relief as she loosened her collar.
"Good work, Aviel," Wakeyo smiled.
"Fuck, that's done with," Aviel moaned, "I don't know how dad and mom ever managed to handle this every day of their lives."
Wakeyo moved to massage her shoulders, and she hummed appreciatively at how his fingers managed to penetrate and unwind the tightest knots in her stiff muscles.
"Oh yes, that's good..." She muttered.
"Anything for you, Aviel," Wakeyo muttered.
"Hey I thought it was my turn to massage her," Amos complained, "I mean, come on man! You already had your turn with her yesterday!"
"What, can't I sneak in an additional session?" Wakeyo cheekily countered.
"Oh, you bloody cheater..." Amos shook his head.
Aviel laughed softly at this exchange.
"By the way, how's the establishment of the new companies?" Aviel asked.
"AvielTel's already finding a lot of local customers who appreciate having a strong and stable network at cheap prices, and Mandebaum Corporation's had good sales records through our connections with the Jewish businesses established here, Madam President," Amos explained, "Construction, manufacturing, finance, logistics, growth may be slow-going, but we're building a strong foundation for economic growth, and the employees greatly appreciate the increased salaries and benefits they're getting."
Due to Aviel's spending, she was rapidly draining her personal fortune dry, and with the Liberian national debt still over a billion, both her and the government would soon face the danger of bankruptcy. Thus, her solution was to emulate Singapore, and build state-owned companies who both competed and cooperated with the established businesses to maintain a healthy market.
By establishing the gold standard in providing quality customer service and goods for everyday use and in employee treatment, Aviel's hope was that it would jumpstart the Liberian economy's revival and growth while at the same time providing a stable source of income for the government outside taxation.
"What about the migration of disenfranchised Jews to our country?" Aviel asked.
"That... we're running into a bottleneck," Amos admitted reluctantly, "To start with, Liberia still possesses the reputation of a country torn apart by Warlords despite our purging of them, and Africa in general still has a reputation of being very inhospitable to Jews in general. Furthermore, not many are willing to brave a journey to what they consider no man's land, in spite of their harsh situation back home. We are getting migrants from Israel, but too few and no more than maybe a few thousands."
Aviel simply shrugged, "Not that I was hoping for much, but I was hoping for more. What about the Liberian Armed Forces and the Navy?"
"We're busy replacing outdated equipment and investing in new facilities, but progress is going strong," Wakeyo answered confidently, "Under Israeli leadership, the troops are doing good in repelling border skirmishes and providing increased national security."
"Good, good," Aviel nodded, "And our government?"
"It's in a state of flux," Amos informed, "We're kept afloat through the sheer competency of our top officials, but it'll take more time before our policies can begin to take hold."
"Alright then," Aviel nodded, "For now, continue with things as they are, but if there are any changes, let me know."
"Of course, Aviel," Wakeyo nodded.
With the mundane work handled, there was only the Affection Multiplier update to perform. And it was ready to download.
How is the app update?
