Chapter 3 by Verdant_Hatchling Verdant_Hatchling

"You know magic?

Time for a test...

“I mean, not really, I just got a spell through the thing you were talking about earlier, I’m not sure how much I can use…” Derek said self-deprecatingly, as he looked to the side.

This brought a sudden insight to Eleera, as she rushed over to a nearby drawer, as she reached in, tossed aside a few unimportant things, as she grabbed a crystal, before walking back to Derek, grabbing his hand, and placing the crystal within.

Then, she said, “Place a bit of your mana within the crystal, and we’ll see your limits…”

Derek was perturbed, as he put a single point of mana into the crystal, and in response, a variety of colors burst from its edges, well over a dozen distinct shades shone brightly into their eyes, utterly blinding them.

This brought Eleera to a sputtering fit, as she grabbed the crystal herself, before making it shine two distinct shades, as she dropped it to the floor. And as it clattered about, she kept her gaze on Derek, as she shakily grabbed it from the ground, before placing it back in the drawer.

She then stumbled over to an indiscernible wall, tracing a claw across its form, as a hidden door revealed itself, she dragged his form through the sudden door, shocking Lena, as she followed shortly behind, awe in her gaze as she saw this portion of her house for the first time.

Eleera was pulling Derek downward, to a basement containing her past, as she reached a metal door, pulling a key from nowhere, as she unlocked the door, continuing with Derek, dragging him into a gear laden room, and grabbing a piece of chalk, tracing an emblem onto a nearby wall, before something opened, revealing a bright light.

And as a small slit appeared on the wall, a face appeared through it, as a feminine voice called out, “The Night replaces the day!”

Eleera grinned, as she responded, “While Evergreens grow past the distant horizons."

Then, a door opened, as an elven woman hugged Eleera tightly, embracing her as she spoke, “Ah, dear Eleera, you’ve brought your daughter? And a visitor?”

All the while, Lena had been utterly shocked, as Derek simply gawked the entire way through, watching the beautiful elven woman suddenly appearing, as she and her very bouncy breasts bobbed around in his sight, as he stood there, utterly unabashed as he stared intently at her form.

Then, as she noticed his gaze, Eleera introduced him, “Well, Lyrielle Verdantleaf Evergreen, nice to see you once more… This is Derek Greaten Dragonsbane, a noob hero from another realm.”

This brought a hefty chuckle from the elven beauty, as she slapped her knees in a massive guffaw, with Derek’s unabashed gaze still very much following EVERY SINGLE JIGGLE. Then, when she saw that Eleera wasn’t joking the slightest bit, she became quite stoic, as she asked intently, “Have you informed your mother?”

Eleera then responded, a hefty sigh coming deep from her soul, “No… I haven’t had the chance. He just appeared out of nowhere, fell from the skies, and when he woke up… He found out he was a Hero, then he shone over a dozen shades on…” She stopped, reaching over to the elven princess’s bag, grabbing a similar crystal to the one from before, but being far more advanced. Then, she motioned for him to repeat himself.

So, Derek acquiesced, deciding to go all out, placing three thousand mana into the crystal, as instantly, a blindingly bright light of well over a thousand shades shone throughout the entire room, before the crystal exploded into a thousand pieces, fragments flying past everyone present.

This brought a scream of shock to Lyrielle’s mouth, as she stumbled over to Derek, placing a shaking hand upon his shoulder, as she used her other hand to grab him gingerly by the hair, as she brought him in for a passionate kiss, as she quickly devolved him into a slobbering mess, as the mother and daughter duo watched on, both shocked, and slightly turned on.

Then, when Lyrielle was done with him, she dismounted him, as she held him in a caring embrace, she led him through the door, utterly ignoring the Tabaxi duo, as she led him into a cottage, carven from the inside of a massive tree, as she sat him in a chair across from a throne, as she sat before him, staring at him intently.

“Would you like to join Erde’Elrenais?”
