Tim's the man of her dreams (Time jump)
"...as we enter the month of August, teams around the country start fall camp with one singular goal in mind: making it to the college football playoffs. Nothing else matters."
"That's right, and this year, with the expanded playoff brackets now at 16 teams, including the automatic qualifiers from the power 4 conferences, many have turned their eyes on the major teams who are likely to gun for the top spots in their respective conferences."
The man then turned to face the camera. "The two top favorites are mainstays in the conversation for the B1G conference championship and, indeed, look to extend their playoff runs. Returning national champion Miami is loaded, they have returned 15 starters from last year's team and look again to dominate a weakened ACC."
"Let's not sleep on Oregon, out of the B1G, who avenged their two losses in 2025 to Indiana and have stormed back to make the national championship last year only to lose to Miami by a last minute field goal. Coach Lanning is hungry and he has led Oregon to improve each of his years at the helm."
Don't forget to mention his name, she thought, sitting down in front of the TV as she waited for the hair iron to warm up. It was early, like 6:15 a.m. on a Saturday early, but she never missed a day of College Gameday, not to mention Fox's competing kickoff special afterwards. Savannah had a reputation as a football geek, something that was a bit unusual to others in her family, but her mother knew better and let her go.
"Oregon is led by their pre-season Heisman hopeful and All-B1G WR in Timothy Connors, a former 5-star recruit who stunned the college football world by first emerging out of seemingly nowhere and then took the conference by storm in 2026, his RS freshman year, by tallying over 1500 all-purpose yards. He then followed up in 2027 with 1800 all purpose yards, easily becoming QB Raiola and QB Smith's favorite target." She let out a squeal as his clips came on the screen and her mother, peering into the living room, just shook her head and ducked back into her den.
"Many projected him to leave early for the draft but he shut down speculation easily, saying that he was old-school and he believed in staying in school 4 years, getting his degree, and living to his commitment to Coach Lanning. Connor's NIL package is estimated at just shy over $2Million, making him one of the higher paid WRs in the conference."
Don't forget to mention Academic All-American, 1st Team B1G award, runner-up to best WR in the country, she mentally checked off his accolades, grasping his jersey tightly to her chest.
"Oregon factors to once again play for the B1G championship and is almost a lock for the CFP, ranked 4th in the preseason rankings, just behind Indiana, Ohio State, and Texas." As they moved off Oregon, she sighed and clicked mute, turning her attention to the curling iron sitting on the counter, and then glanced at her reflection in the mirror. 4 years it had been since she had last seen Tim, talked to him, even hugged him. She hadn't lost touch, though, tracking him and his college progress online through social media, news clips, youtube, and twitch.
It took some time getting used to being a 14 year-old girl looking and talking college football, especially since she had moved to the heart of basketball country in North Carolina (she hated basketball, after all) but she put up with it for Nicolette's sake, or MOM as she got used to calling her. A fair trade, in her mind, was accepting basketball in exchange for her mom allowing her to buy Tim's jersey and watching whenever he played on national TV, which was quite a bit (due, in no small part, to Tim's awesome highlight reels...the boy was a one-man Sportscenter magnet).
4 years had gone by quickly, though, and now as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, she smiled and finished fixing her hair. Time had been VERY generous to the both of them, Tim had filled out nicely and grown much more into the handsome young man she had, secretly, always dreamt he would become. She herself had grown, from the admittedly gangly weed of a teenage girl to a young woman with curves, a radiant smile, and a killer rack and ass that just begged to be touched. She hadn't indulged in that, though, saving herself for one man and one man only. Her mom had known since the beginning and an inside joke between the two of them had been "you want your old name back, huh?"
Little did either know that the other wasn't really joking.

The Ultimate Transplant
Someone you know is given a new body & life
PLEASE ADD CHAPTERS! A close friend or family member is horribly injured in an accident. As they lay dying in the emergency room, another patient dies of a brain aneurysm. Both of them are organ donors, so a surgeon decides it's the perfect opportunity for him to try an experimental surgery. He transplants the victim's higher brain (the cerebellum) to the donor's body in an attempt to 'save' a life. Amazingly it works. But the surgery was not approved so the hospital convinces the families to keep quiet, arguing that revealing this operation to the public would bring never-ending media attention to all involved. That means that the patient will have to publicly assume the identity of the donor. What will this mean to your friends and family? Who else will you tell? Although you will spend a lot of time and effort giving support, how will all this alter your relationship to the patient? And how will he or she adapt to a complete change of body and identity? Many transformation stories focus on the change or victim, so I thought it would be interesting to instead have the POV be someone who sees the change from the outside. Writers feel free to explore a change in age, gender, class or ethnicity - and the repercussions that change would have on the main character (and others).
