Tilly tells all

Tilly felt a knot in her stomach. She was sweating and struggled to make eye contact with Sam. Sam wasn't an idiot, she could tell something was wrong. But she could also tell that Tilly was working up the courage to speak, so she stayed silent and gave her the space to do so. After a minute Sam reached across the table and grabbed Tilly's hand. Tilly looked into Sam's eyes. Sam smiled and Tilly could see the love in her eyes. That just made her feel more guilty. It was all a lie, wasn't it?

"Sam..." Tilly began, "I..." She trailed off.

Sam patted her hand, "It's ok. Take your time. I'm not going anywhere."

"Ok...um...well...do you believe in magic?"

Sam's peaceful expression was broken for a second, "Huh? Um...like the magic of love, or Christmas or something? How special things can be? Or like...hocus pocus I'll turn you into a frog?"

"The second one actually."

Sam smirked, "What's this about? You see something crazy you can't explain?"

"Yes...no...well...ok. I'm going to tell you everything. From the beginning. It's going to be weird. Can you...just listen? Don't say anything until I'm done. Ok?"

Sam nodded, "Whatever you need. I'm all ears."

So Tilly told her everything. Absolutely everything. As far as she could remember at least. How she was broke, fat, and depressed. How she signed up for Taskmaster, how it had changed her life. She told Sam about her goals, about wanting to find love. About Sam. Their whole relationship was built on a lie. The app had been texting Sam, not Tilly. The app had made Sam fall in love, not Tilly. The app kept them making plans, not Tilly. Tilly even explained the recent changes to Anita and Emi, it wasn't directly related to the reason she wanted to tell Sam but they could always be brought out as backup for the reliability of the story.

When she was done she found she was crying, "I'm so sorry Sam. I never meant to hurt you. You are so amazing and I've just...twisted you. I'm so sorry."

Sam leaned forward and wiped away a tear, "Hush...it's ok."

"No, it's not! You don't really love me. It's just the app."

"Then ask it to remove that reward." Sam said bluntly.

"Huh...umm..."

"Have you tried that already?"

"Well...no. I...I guess...I didn't think I could. Master...would you please remove the reward that made Sam love me?"

"NEGATIVE." Taskmaster said immediately. Tilly's face fell. "YOU MISUNDERSTOOD REWARD."

"Huh...what do you mean? Misunderstood how?" Tilly was shaking, what was going on? Remembering that Sam couldn't hear Taskmaster she explained, "It said it can't, that I misunderstood the reward."

Taskmaster didn't respond. Tilly looked at Sam who was smiling, "I think I know. You said you got that reward the morning after we had sex for the first time?" Tilly nodded, "Well I'm pretty sure I'd already fallen for you by then. The app couldn't make me fall in love if I already was."

Tilly shook her head, "It was just one date...all the chatting you'd done had been with the app...there's no way...I'm nothing special..."

"Stop it," Sam said seriously, "I don't know why you would say that. Did you even read the chats the app sent me? We just made plans for the date, but I knew basically nothing about you, and you obviously knew nothing about me. It was essentially a blind date. And know that you do know me do you think I really sleep with women on the first date normally? I just...I wanted you so badly. Yes you're hot, I mean, you're fucking gorgeous, but more than that...I...I was completely blown away by you. It wasn't magic that attracted me to you. It was just you. Ask it again. Ask what the reward really was."

Tilly wiped away another tear and nodded, "Master...could you please explain what the reward for having sex really was?"

"THE REWARD SAID, SEXUAL PARTNER IS NOW IN LOVE WITH YOU AND DESIRES TO HAVE SEX WITH USER AGAIN. THE REWARD WAS THE KNOWLEDGE OF THESE FACTS, TASKMASTER DID NOT INTERFERE WITH SAID SEXUAL PARTNER."

It didn't interfere...it didn't do anything? She looked at Sam, saw the love there, she started crying again, "It says it didn't do anything to you. It was just letting me know how you felt...but how...how can you love me when I did this? I thought it had tricked you...changed you...and I went along with it. I'm a horrible person...you...can't love me."

Sam reached across the table and grabbed Tilly's phone. She passed it to Tilly, "Use your relationship guide. Tell me what it says."

Tilly nodded and opened it to Sam's profile, "Sam is deeply in love with you. She dreams of marrying you and spending the rest of your lives together. She would do anything you ask. She is nervous about keeping you satisfied. She is nervous that you are out of her league. She is worried that you might judge her for falling in love so fast. She is worried you might leave her. She is shocked to discover magic is real. She is wondering what a threesome with Anita would be like..."

"AH!" Sam cried out, blushing, "No...um...what? That's so embarrassing! I'm so sorry. Shoot, um. That wasn't exactly what I was thinking it would say...but ignore that embarrassing stuff. Just focus on the first line. It hasn't changed, right? Can't you see? My feelings are my own. I love you Tilly."

Tilly looked away from her phone, she stared into Sam's eyes. For the first time in a very long time she felt totally certain about something. It wasn't the app, it was all her. She broke into a smile, "I love you too."

Sam was still super curious about the app, and the existing of real magic, but that would have to wait. The rest of the evening had considerably less talking, considerably less clothing, and over a dozen orgasms shared between them. Tilly couldn't believe it. For all the bad things the app had done to her, it had all been worth it in the end. She was in love. It was such a wonderful feeling. She wasn't alone anymore. As they cuddled in bed afterwards Tilly let her mind wander to the future. She hadn't spent much time thinking about that, she'd been too busy living day-by-day. What did her future hold? She realized no matter what future she imagined, Sam was always there beside her. She felt like it didn't matter which path she took now, as long as she didn't walk it alone. She fell asleep in Sam's arms, perfectly content.
