Throne room

Chapter 46 by GamerChick077 GamerChick077

We fought our way past the demons to the throne room.

“Anyone else hear talking from up ahead?” Tank asked. We all angled their heads towards the approaching hallway at the end of the room.

“Now that you mention it, I think I can,” I said.

We walked farther towards the room. I could see Nasira, the Genie, and most worryingly, the princess. She was passed, her body only standing before of the shackles round her wrists. Standing behind her was Hera.

“There she is!” Aladdin said, and burst into a run. We followed closely behind her.

Nasira had her staff in one hand and her lamp in the other, which was raised high.

"That boy again?" Hera asked, her voice dripping with distain.

"He's more persistent than I expected," Nasira said.

Hera said nothing, her sly smile unfaltering. And with but a second’s pause, she faded from view entirely.

Aladdin spoke next, “Badroulbadour?” She said, and tried again, louder, “Badroulbadour! What did you do to her, Nasira?!”

“Why are you doing this?!” I shouted, “Why are you working with Hera? She’s trying to destroy everything!”

"Oh, once I'm done with you, I'll eliminate Hera," Nasira laughed and turned to the Genie, and growled, “Genie! Crush them!”

"Yeah, no," the genie said.

"You dare defy me?" Nasira asked.

"I have no obligation to actually grant a wish. Give me a better wish," the genie said.

Glaze shot a massive fireball at Nasira.

"I wish for a bubble of water to protect me," Nasira said.

A bubble of water surrounded Nasira's body, nullifying the fireball. Nasira noticeably had trouble breathing and had to quickly swim out of the bubble.

"You nearly killed me!" she said.

"You wished to be inside a ball of water!" the genie said.

"Give me a protective shield that protects me from all harm and no way of killing me."

A force field surrounded Nasira's body, “I have power beyond even Hera now, I’m capable of anything I please.”

“I dunno,” Aladdin said, her voice just on the edge of boasting. She turned away from Nasira and Felix could see she had an impish grin, “Can you really say you’re more powerful than Hera if you’re not even the most powerful being in this world?”

“What exactly are you saying, girl?” Nasira grated as she clenched her staff tightly again.

“The genie and Hera have more power than you could ever hope to have!" I said.

“That's actually true,” The Genie said, “Your wishes are kinda boring? The water bubble wish was just stupid.”

"I've already corrected my error. There is no way for them to get through the shield," Nasira said.

I swiped my Chainsaword forward, creating a portal in front of me and one behind Nasira.

"That's right! Run, you coward!" Nasira said, obviously not realising the other portal was behind her.

I jumped through the portal and ended up behind Nasira. I swung my Chainsaword at her neck. Nasira barely dodged.

"Genie! Erase Felix's foolish existence!"

"That wish bores me," the genie said.

"What?!" Nasira said.

"It's too much of a deus ex machina," the genie said.

Nasira had a thoughtful look on her face, “I hate to admit this but Aladdin's right. The genie's and Hera's power do exceed my own! Nothing could be guaranteed unless I was more powerful than them,” She said breathlessly, and looked to the Genie, “But not for long... Slave! I will make my final wish.”

The Genie laughed, “What do you wish for?”

“I wish to be an... all-powerful genie!”

The Genie rolled her eyes.

“Really? You are far from the first master to try this. Alright, your, uh, wish is my command,” she muttered, "Can't wait for you to fuck that one up."

“This feeling,” Nasira howled, “This feeling is everything! Poooweer! Absolute power right at my fingertips!” Nasira laughed.

The ground began to shake violently. Nasira's flesh was stripped away, leaving behind a skeleton with a wide mouth and bright red eyes.

"The universe is mine to command!" Nasira boomed, "TO CONTROL! FEAR ME, HERA!"

"So now we just trap her in the lamp," I said.

"You think just genies just come with lamps and rings?" the genie asked.

"Uh, yeah," I said.

"You have to trap a genie inside an object first," the genie said.

"Are you actually bound by the lamp?" I asked.

The genie simply smiled at me.

“I have an idea!” I insisted, “The lamp! We’ve gotta get the lamp!”

“What good will that do now?” Glaze asked.

“Just trust me, you guys!”

Glaze had barely gotten out of the way in time as an enormous ball of fire Nasira threw. Nasira had taken to throwing them around. That seemed to be all she was doing with unlimited power.

I quickly scooped up the lamp.

“Whatever you’re going to do, do it now!” Glaze directed me.

I held the lamp out towards Nasira.

“Genie!” I ordered, “Send Nasira into your lamp!”

Nasira slowly turned her head, “What did you say?”

"As you wish," the genie said.

“No, no,” Nasira muttered, as a vortex from the opening of the lamp started siphoning her in. She screamed, “Nooo!”

Everyone else stared at the lamp in shock.

The Genie was the first one to talk, “Felix! That was amazing!”

Aladdin looked to where the princess was.

Suddenly Duncan appeared with the skeleton genie that Nasira had before.

"Ring genie, send the princess to my mother," he said.

The princess disappeared.

"What are you doing with that genie?" I asked.

"A little hand me down Nasira gave since she had the lamp," Duncan said, drawing his blade.
