Chapter 27 by agenteightysix agenteightysix

What do you find down this passage?

Three doors

Your fears of going in an elaborate circle are short-lived. Only a few feet down this next passage, it opens up into some sort of empty antechamber with three sets of double doors on the opposite end. Each of the sets is adorned with a large, ornate engraving across the top half. The doors seem out of place - the detailing on the doors is much more elaborate than the plain stone walls that otherwise surround you.

The door directly in front of you catches your attention first. At the very top is a large eye, looking down upon the outline of a city. Lines radiate down from the eye to the tiny buildings underneath, but the the eye itself is shadowed inside a cloud.

The doors to the left have a large sword plunging down the center. The gap where the doors meet perfectly bisects the entire length of the sword. The handle is simple, with a woven wrapping and a plain round pommel at the top. Instead of a regular crossguard, a pair of wings sprouts from where the blade and handle meet. These wings spread out to cover a large portion of each door.

The doors on the right are dominated by a large tree in the center. The lush, rounded canopy takes up the entire upper portion of the doors, matching the half-circle top of the door frame. The thick trunk goes down nearly to the bottom of the doors. The base of the trunk is obscured, however, by a row of tall flames.

You aren't sure what these engravings could mean, but you figure you have to go through one of these sets of doors.

Which do you choose?
