And with the preliminaries of obtaining names accomplished, the three couples married, at the same time and before the same preacher, one after the other: first Jack Blackman and Elizabeth Blackman, followed by Douglas Lancaster and Mira Lancaster, and Jack Whitman and Alisa Whitman. They intended to stagger the honeymoons for the benefit of Elizabeth's children.
