Three's a crowd

"So are you saying that this poor girl can't talk at all?" asked Rupert Giles.

"Yes, Giles," said Willow. "I'm beginning to think that she's the victim of a spell. But what kind, I don't know."

"Here," said Giles, handing the mystery girl a pen and an empty notepad. "Perhaps she can communicate with this."

The mystery girl immediately seized the pen and started scribbling in the notepad. She was still scribbling when she heard the door to the library open and she looked up to see two familiar faces -- Jonathan and future Amy.

"Kennedy!" said future Amy.

Before she knew it, Amy was being embraced by the impetuous Kennedy while the Scooby gang watched in puzzlement. Jonathan seemed confused too. Granted, he knew that Kennedy and future Amy were friends but weren't Kennedy and him friends as well? Why wasn't she hugging him? And why wasn't she hugging him like that?

Then Kennedy started kissing Amy on the lips.

"Looks like you've just been replaced, Willow," said Xander. "Though quite frankly, I never knew that Amy swung tha --"

"Shut up, Xander," said Willow.

Instead of objecting to Kennedy's PDA, Amy glanced at the bruise on the side of Kennedy's head and asked, "What happened?"

Kennedy tried to answer with sign language but Amy did not understand what she was saying.

In desperation, Kennedy picked up the notepad and started writing a response to Amy's question. But before she could finish, the library door opened and present Amy walked in.

"You!" present Amy cried when she saw future Amy standing next to Kennedy.

"Yes, me," said future Amy.

And before present Amy could say another word, future Amy walked up to her and slapped her in the face. "That's for hitting Kennedy."

"Kennedy?" asked present Amy with a tone of genuine puzzlement in her voice.

"You know," said future Amy, pointing to Kennedy. "Her."

"I didn't touch her," said present Amy.

"You liar!" cried future Amy.

"Scout's honor," said present Amy. "I swear on my mother's -- er -- whatever."

"How dare you lie to my face!" cried future Amy.

"How dare you accuse me of something I did not do!" cried present Amy.

"Oh, that's rich," said future Amy. "You had no problem turning me into a rat over a case of mistaken identity but now that the shoe is on the other foot --"

Just then Giles heard a loud noise issuing from the back room of the library. He started to go look but before he could enter the room, a blonde teenage girl wearing a cheerleader's outfit that consisted of a yellow top and a red skirt opened the door and walked out. As if that wasn't odd enough, Giles noticed that the woman looked just like a blonde-haired version of Amy Madison. Both Amy Madisons.

As she moved forward, both Amys turned to look at the newcomer in horror.

"Oh, fuck!" they both cried. "It's her!"

"My, my, my," said cheerleader Amy. "Both of my girls in one place. And almost all my future enemies as well. Now all I need is for the Slayer to show up and I can kill all my future enemies in one fell swoop."
