This won't be easy...

It didn't take a lot of time walking before the quester group split up in two distinct groups : the one with all the mages and archers, led by Lade Melda, and the one with the warriors, healers and illusionners, led by Lady Kogai. It is only at this moment that you finally start to measure the danger of what is about to unfold. Even with the equipment you got, you felt like one blow could end it all, and it was stressing you a lot.

Glancing at your friends, you saw that they were at least as stressed as you by this, even though they will be able to hide to not be attacked... Suddenly, Lady Kogai stopped, all of your group doing the same, before you and your party got closer to Lady Kogai, who actually had a view on the Legion's camp, on your target.

This camp wasn't special at all, in fact, the camp was far less special than the beings inside it : you could distinguish two kinds of beings, both of which were humanoid : the first kind seemed like it was one with darkness, and every single dark being had a matching dark sword. You couldn't make out any more details about them, nor could you make out a lot of details about the other kind of beings, behind all the ice.

Why the ice ? Because the other kind of humanoid in this camp, being three meters big, was also covered in ice from head to toe. You couldn't even see a humanoid body inside the ice, which was of a deep blue color, and it reminded you a lot of the earth elemental you "fought" when you saved Atsura.

Reminding yourself of Atsura made you grit your teeth. He and Shirayuki fooled Rei and you, and now you are going to show them that you can fight.

But as you looked more and more at your soon to be foes, your Knowledge ability activated itself, saying as you looked at the dark beings :

"Shadow Warriors

Species : Shadows

Sex : Genderless

Abilities : None

Magic : None

Equipment : Shadow Blade, Shadow Armor

Weakness : Runed Blade : Shadow Banish"

Your eyes widened when you saw that. It meant you were at least at their level, if you remembered correctly what Shirayuki told you, and as you learned that, even though you didn't like Atsura nor Shirayuki, you started to feel like her plea for help was a genuine one, and not a trick to observe your capabilities or something. Looking at the second type of humanoid, your ability read :

"Ice Elementals

Species : Elementals

Sex : Genderless

Abilities : None

Magic : Ice Bolt, Ice Wave, Cold Aura, Basic Snow Storm

Equipment : None

Weakness : None"

Seeing the abilities of the ice elementals was a huge help once again, but something was strange with their informations : why don't they have any weakness, although it looked obvious that they were weak to fire ? This was a question you needed to answer, but Lady Kogai said, low enough for the beings in the Legion's camp to not hear, but loud enough for every quester here to hear :

"Warriors, draw your weapons. Illusioners, prepare yourselves. The signal will come shortly."

Hearing that, you pulled your sword out of its sheath, as ready to battle as you could be, with all the stress in your mind. Looking behind you, you saw Rei and Douma prepare themselves with all the other mages. After this, time seemed to stretch, as all of you waited for the signal Lady Kogai talked about, stress and fear coursing through your whole being as you anxiously waited for the fateful signal, whatever it might be.

After a while, you see a light, high in the sky, and hear Lady Kogai yell :

"This is it ! Let's get them now !"

Before rushing towards the camp, with a devilish smile, as every single one of you did. The huge warriors group appearing out of nowhere made every single shadow and ice elemental freeze, not expecting something like that for sure, but even Lady Kogai didn't reach the first foe, that they already readied themselves to fight.

The illusioners already hid themselves as well as the healers as they advanced, meanwhile the fighters, including you, started to clash your blades with the shadow warriors, with some of you able to manipulate at least a touch of magic going against an elemental. Your own blade crashed with a shadow's blade, as it looked at you dead in the eyes, but without any eyes in sight.

The shadow was for sure strong, and you had a hard time parrying and dodging its attacks. You knew that you had some basic swordsman skills, and that was what saved you for now, as you would have been dead already without them. But thinking, even for a second, is the worse idea possible and a fight, as you saw the shadow's sword aim at your stomach. Out of pure instinct though, you grabbed your knife and parried the blade with it, surprising the shade with this unexpected tactic. I manifested its surprised by freezing for an instant, instant you took to slash it in half with your blade.

It seemed that your Knowledge ability was right, your blade worked wonders on shadows, as you saw it dissolve into the ground after your slash. It was your first true fight, and your first victory. This helped boosting your moral a lot, and it was boosted even more when you heard, while you helped one fighter close to you to take down another shadow :

"Pyromancers ! Now !"
