This is far enough.

The hall waits for the Princess to pass judgement, all eyes watching her.

Rosalia swallows, eyes darting first to you then to the bard. "I would certainly...prefer less crude lyrics. But I see no reason this man should be punished for his, um, artistic expression. Bring the next case forward!"

Mutters and giggles break out through the throne room but are quietly shushed. The guards glance at each other confusedly before Rosalia clears her throat impatiently. "Well? What are you waiting for? Unhand the man." Only the tinge of pink on her cheeks betrays her true feelings on the matter.

Reluctantly, the guards unhand the bard, and he pulls out his lute with a knowing smirk. The nobles look on in disapproval as he goes free. The common folk becomes a lively crowd, cheering and clapping at her decision. You can tell the bard is a popular man, and they're emboldened by the Princess's seeming acceptance of his work. She's not saying anything - just blushing as she sits there above them on her throne.

That certainly hadn't gone as anyone had expected. They'd probably expected him to lose a head, or at least a hand for his daringness. But the princess had showed leniency, and while the nobles might not appreciate it, at least the peasantry seem relieved.

Maybe you could've pushed the princess a little more. But why risk it? You have time - just take her corruption slowly and she'll become your slutty little plaything in time. That's what you tell yourself, but you can't help but feel as if you missed an opportunity. You feel a little less sure of yourself for hesitating.
