This Is All Too Much

The crowd wanted something different from us, clearly. They pressed and surged and the connection, that perfect moment, and the promise of what came next became a moment denied.

As it stood we were connected only for a moment longer before we were jostled, before the whole crowd was jostled and then surged into life as the slow song melded into a fast one and the crowd moved into frantic rhythm together.

The shift had the effect of shifting us, of breaking the gravity of our momentary connection. I got only the briefest brush more before we both pulled back, our eyes growing wider as we realized what had almost happened and pulled back before it became far too much for us.

Rachel faltered first, her fingers flexing into me before she released me. The merest of movements but one that sent an undeniable message that she wasn’t ready for that.

I staggered back a little, more awestruck than anything else. The crowd surged again as the music doubled down on the shift into something high paced and the crescendo built almost too soon but I shook my head to shake off the cobwebs and did as she did, as my guide guided me to.

Shaking my head and shaking my hips and jumping with the music. Spinning and turning next to her, breaking a little space in the crowd before the crowd moved forward and I felt more than just her pressed against me.

All those faces who had been waiting so patient saw that we were broken apart now and call them vultures if you must, but they moved in. They pressed down into us and we quickly found ourselves back to back and facing different partners who all wanted to take the place of our almost love and finish off the job.

Behind me I felt Rachel get into it, heard a laugh that was unmistakably hers and felt the press of her body leave me. I cast a quick glance over my shoulder but saw only the crowd and when I looked back someone else was standing in front of me.

I think he was dressed for the eighties. I’m not sure exactly, could have been the fifties honestly. Some confusion of leather and jeans and tight t-shirts and slick hair.

He moved up to me with a wolfish grin and put his hands on my hips, abruptly breaking my movement and making me follow his own that almost but not quite followed the beat.

As a move that was maybe defensive I brought my hands up to his chest to press against it, feeling a chest that wanted to be more muscular than it really was. My fingers curled into it and his grin widened as his gaze moved down and it took me a few moments to realize that he was staring at my body between us.

Specifically he was staring at the neckline of my dress, or rather the cleavage presented there. With my hands pressed together my arms pressed my breasts together as well, emphasizing the generous cleavage presented by my dress. The alterations that Emily had made to the dress resulted in a neckline that plunged low in a deep V and while in repose it didn’t show much, when I had my arms defensively crushed against my breasts it pushed them up and in, giving me a deep line of cleavage that my dance partner couldn’t get enough of.

He took full advantage now, pulling me into him and letting his hands slip around to the small of my back and too quick to my ass. I felt him palm my cheeks whole and squeeze and it should have been a moment of disorientation and disgust but the only thing it aroused was confusion at the surge from that place deep inside of me.

I needed to break out. I pushed back and twisted at the same time and stumbled into someone else who grabbed me from behind, arms slipping around me as hands found my flat tummy and pulled me back into a not so firm body behind me.

I gasped and felt this new stranger move his hands so quick, one up and one down. They ignored all propriety as the upper pressed too quick onto my ribs and nearly over my breasts, holding me as if he was just waiting for one more second before he cupped me in full and squeezed me like the other man had before. The lower curled quick into the place between my hip and the inner part of my thigh, pulling me back into something that was unmistakenly hard and bulging in his jeans, slipping between the cheeks of my ass and begging for my attention.

And this too just sparked fires in me. It flamed the craving that I had before. It made me want to melt and it made me want to give in and it made me confused.
