How Do Things Go From Here?

Thinking on How to Prepare

Yuletharnia thought carefully about how to deal with the dungeon, her best option would be to convince a team of adventurers to deal with the situation. Easier said than done, all the sort that would accept her request were also the sort to jump into a fight with a monster if it meant they would get some kind of glory. She could probably disguise herself as a Mage of some kind to give a valid excuse as to why she was going with the party, but that tactic was a well-known trap to adventurers by now, maybe she could hide as some other kind of spell caster. It would also give her the best means of being able to adjust their memories of the experience so she could make off with most of the treasure.

The real problem she could see, at the moment, was finding a way to edit records. The Adventurer Guilds often had special magical recording safeguards on their identifications as a means of safeguarding against fraudulent claims, a few centuries back it was found a man proclaimed a hero hadn’t accomplished almost every outstanding achievement he was believed to have done, it was a real egg on the face moment for the guilds at the time be because he was and adventurer and endorsed by most of thee guilds at the time that were major players in that adventurer’s nation, after that event, all the adventurer guilds across the continent from that moment forward starting putting safeguards and confirmation magics into their identification systems to make such events next to impossible to achieve in the future.

Granted, her special identification for masquerading had passed the active renewal date some time ago, so Yuletharnia would probably be spending who knows how long making a new mock-up identification, especially since the one she had prior to all this had been destroyed by some idiot running around the secure chamber of her prior lair she had it in and basically destroying everything in that there, the figure had like a dozen names he went by at the time and she never confirmed if the face they were using was genuinely their own, that same idiot had an illusion Wizard in their party and said idiot was a Bard that practically specialized in misdirection.

The first step in all of this, learning what materials the identification was actually made of and the form it took. Some guilds used rings, others used tags, others used cards, others used some kind of stone that was specially treated by a high-level mage or Cleric, and still, others were a bit more obscure. The point was that Adventurer identifications varied based on a number of factors, so faking an identification would take research and observation for far more time than she would like.
