Just What The Hell Now...???

Think of some kind of reasonable explanation

Chapter 2 by Brickhouse Brickhouse

I paced around the room in a flurry.

"Okay this is- No, I can't...no no no..." Biting my lip I wracked my mind for some kind of answer, obviously I had to be dreaming. This had to be a dream. I'm just having one of those 'go to work naked' dreams except I'm at home because I'm working at home and-

"No that's not...fuck this isn't happening"

I pinched myself, bit my arm, poked myself with a nail.

Each hurt, each felt too real to be a dream. My attention turned to the notebook again and that damned set of rules, instructions? Picking up the list, I read it again, cross referencing with what I'd written in the notebook.

It was the part at the bottom that caught my eye "...won't effect sorcerers...? Fucking sorcerers? H...hah, I'm- This is- Fucking magic? What?" I let out a tortured laugh, that faded out into a frustrated groan "...m-magic."

I checked what I'd written and where again.

Name: Skye Porter
Able To Wear Clothing: NO
Allowed To Wear Clothing: YES
Do They Notice/Care: YES
Do Others Notice/Care: YES/NO
Freely Masturbate: YES/YES

I then paged back to see what the other entries were, then realised something.

"Pencil, they wrote in pencil" With horror I picked up the pen I'd used to write in "FUCK, fuck...fucking, okay...okay calm I just need to uh, hm. Wait, waitwaitwait" I checked the rules again, specifically for entry Two. "My clothes, fuck, my clothes"

In a panic I ran through the house, back downstairs to the study I'd been using as a temporary bedroom. Then I upturned the place, every suitcase, bag and wardrobe that I knew had things in.

All empty.

"...shit" I muttered to myself, slumping down onto the floor in a heap.

I sat there for a good ten minutes, before I picked myself back up, cleared my throat, and went back upstairs. Calmly as I could I headed back to the notebook. Sure it had dealt me the greatest humiliation I could possibly imagine, but knowing it was magical and had true power meant that I could use it.

"Okay, let's see what we can make out of this situation at least" I say to myself, taking the page of rules and the notebook over to a nearby couch so I can peruse it in comfort.

Skimming the entries again I realise that the parts that say (-xxxxx) must be exceptions, maybe Jane made the same mistake I did the first time and made sure her friends didn't suffer the same effects as losing their shoes. Reaching over to the workbench, I grabbed a carpenter's pencil, not exactly a fine writing tool but it was sharp enough to work.

"Okay, let's see what we can do with this. I'm stuck like this unless I can get this ink removed..." I said aloud, then noticed the exceptions were linked not just to sections, but specific parts. The (-shoes) wrapped around the NO in Able and Allowed to wear, for example.

Taking their example, I circled the YES in Notice and wrote a (-Family)...there was no obvious effect, but then again I wouldn't see one unless I altered my own perception. That being said I wondered what'd happen if I put those exceptions in after the vanishing had taken effect.

Writing a (-shoes) of my own next to my Able and Allowed, I padded barefoot downstairs to reveal none of my footwear had magically reappeared.

"So much for magic spells I guess..." With a grumble I closed the book and searched through my remaining things. Predictably I had very little in the way of stationary, I managed to find a better pencil at the very least, and a purse to keep it and the magic notebook in, as well as my phone and wallet, of course.

With a quick Google search I did find a couple of ways to remove pen ink from paper, but given the magic quality of the notebook I was wary of taking an exacto knife to it. If I wanted to fix my situation though, I'd need to try.

But I'd also need to go out in public.

Naked in public...
