Just a quick walk to the local shops, right?

Should be easy with magic on her side

Chapter 3 by Brickhouse Brickhouse

I took a couple of steps out the front door...then darted back inside.

"C'mon. C'mon, it's- Skye, they know you're naked. People won't care" I tried to big myself up, to my surprise it worked somewhat and I headed out the front door again. Feeling the rough slabs under my bare feet wasn't exactly pleasant, but I'd just have to deal with it.

Something else I had to deal with were the looks, I thought that people not caring would mean they wouldn't leer, but if anything it made them even bolder. I had men staring, some women, they didn't care that I was nude, it wasn't some shocking sight to them.

Biting my lip, I tried to ignore it all. Just because I had a safety blanket in the form of a magical book didn't mean this was any less embarrassing, but it did get me thinking, things I'd unpack when I got somewhere I could sit.

But first, I rounded a corner and was already on the high street. It wasn't exactly bustling, but there were...people. Holding my head high, I could feel my blush spreading. It only got worse when I heard someone say 'nice tits' as they passed me.

I mean, they were ample but...a stranger thought that? Enough to say it if they didn't care?

Ducking to the side I decided to take the fastest possible route to the stationary shop, which as I got closer appeared to be more of a general hobby shop. I didn't care as long as it had pencils, erasers and knives that could scrape ink from paper.

Heading in I was greeted with a place that was...whatever the modern version of quaint was. It was small, homely, maybe even a little charming. But it was whitewashed with beiges and light wood shades, sure everything was clearer to see, but it lacked a certain character.

Biting my lip I scouted the place out, trying not to think about how naked I was and how the woman at the register was eyeing me up like she was. I managed to find the pencils and erasers I needed, but I assumed knives were at the check-out, a measure against thefts perhaps.

"H-hey I uh, just these please" I awkwardly smiled as I set down my items "And uh, exacto knives? Or I mean, craft knives I think?"

"Mhm" She took the items and started scanning their codes, a brunette, tall, almost motherly but too young for the full look "By the way your body looks great, do you work out?"

"I- What? I mean uh, a little, yeah. Sorry I'm just in a bit of a rush" I say as politely as I can manage, it's a challenge.

"It's alright, usually we don't get people hurrying to use pencils but hey" The cashier joked, pulling a small pack of blades out from the cabinet below the register "I can only sell you a pack a time, comes with three knives okay"

"Yes, that's great. Thank you" I practically push the money into her hands, grab my receipt and my items then leave. My immediate thought is to find a quiet spot that still had foot traffic, that way I could at least tell if I'm making the wrong kinds of changes.

Finding the perfect spot outside a cafe, I take a seat, cringing at the cold metal on my skin, then pull out the notebook.

Firstly, I get out the knives. I keep the pencils within reach in case I need to do this quickly, biting my lip I attempt to scrape. My first two attempts fail mainly because I'm being impatient, I'm missing the text and scuffing the paper instead.

My third attempt however erases the S from my name.

Taking a look around I wait, then hear a "what the fuck? She's naked!?!"

Upon hearing that I pick up the pencil and quickly write my name below where I wrote it in pen, and then everyone seems to go back to normal.

"Okay, I can work with this..." I spend the next hour or so, writing my text in with pencil then carefully scraping the pen lines out. Eventually I'm relatively freed, unfortunately I'm still nude in public...and I own literally no clothes.

Even with a handle on the book, I'd still need to deal with that part, which might be more of a problem than I'm expecting.
