Chapter 11
by Verdant_Hatchling
What do they think?
They were in agreement, surely.
No being present dared to object, and as a boring procession commenced, Damon was officially in charge of the Chromatic Council, one of the preeminent powers of this world. Though Damon's powers alone surpassed their entire organizations.
He was quickly brought to speed on the matters of importance and the various kingdoms he now indirectly controlled, numbering well over a dozen. Damon promptly established a grievous monthly toll for his rulership, a harrowing expression towards the entire assembly.
And promptly agreed to, as 100,000,000 Gold Coins would be delivered to him by the first dawn of every month, lest there be unbelievable consequences, he reiterated to their dismay.
He assigned the elemental Dragons to guard the surrounding areas, as well as the treasury, specifically. He instructed the lot to return to their humanoid forms, as he had a random Dragon conjure furniture for them, a mighty throne for him at the head of the large roundtable, and as they took their seats, Damon brought Dovei to sit upon the throne, shocking all involved, including Dovei.
“Dovei Argentum will be the interim leader of the Chromatic Council while I am away. She will have control over the Dragons I have created, as well as the lot of you, if you’re smart.” The threat was clear.
Damon stood before Dovei, and prepared to cast Bestow Greater Blessing.
Thinking on what he wanted her blessing to be, Damon desired for her draconic lineage to be massively enhanced. With that on his mind, he cast the spell.
As Dovei was sitting on the throne, she was teleported backwards ten feet, before a low voice was heard in her head. It simply stated, “You have been granted the Dragon Kings Empyrean essence.” She was in awe, as she retook her Dragon form, it began to grow and grow, until she surpassed even the mighty Platinum Dragon she was always in awe of.
She was now the second largest Dragon of the Council, a fact that made her giddy, as she was second to her now husband, as Damon hadn’t known the implications of his actions.
She returned to her humanoid form, though now she was much larger, but still a bit smaller than Damon, purposefully, of course, as she was staring at him with open lust, “Finally, I’ve become wed.”
She was blushedly fluttering back to her throne, as Damon heard her, as did the others, but he found no reason to correct her.
Damon was preparing to leave, but left them with some words. “I may not be able to witness everything. But I will witness betrayal. So take care.” He released a massive pressure, as he cast Dragon’s Presence.
The many gathered Dragons nearly shat themselves, all nearly matching Dovei's previous reaction.
Damon walked up to Dovei, and embraced her, bringing her in for a passionate exchange of fluids, and as he drew from her, leaving her breathless, he spoke to her gently, “Yeah, you're my wife now.”
He released her from his embrace, though she didn’t want it to end, as Damon took his Dragon Form. Though he nearly crushed a few lesser Dragons, he was careful in avoiding Dovei.
“I will return.” He growled out, an aggressive rumbling began to shake the foundations of the cove, as he erupted from the ground, well past Mach 3 at the first motion, leaving a startled bunch, and a relatively calm Dovei, to continue their work, and for her to unknowingly evolve into a Dragon Queen.
It took Damon less than twelve seconds of flight to reach his current home, but he was **** to return to his Demi-Dragon form to enter, as his Dragon Form would never fit within his far too small home.
As he entered, he was met with the glomping of both Ember and Dirpe. He was **** to carry them to his throne, and as he sat down, they laid themselves affectionately in his lap, both bringing Damon to clam up.
Even when he was at his highest points on Earth, he was never a ladies man. He was barely able to **** out the words he had spoken to Dovei, and the kiss just felt natural, but this had him stumbling.
Luckily, his lax appearance hadn’t displayed any of his emotions, so, as he was thoroughly tired, he dozed off as the warm figures nuzzled into him further.
…
Clark awoke in his dorm, his crusty eyes breaking open as the bright lights of the uncurtained windows blared into his gaze, he tore them shut again. “Was that a dream? Damn it.” He tried to stand up but quickly fell.
His leg was still broken, in the cast, though said cast was nearly shattered. He crawled his way to the fridge, and grabbed a beer from it. He chugged it instantly, and was left nearly sobbing. He shut the fridge and laid his back against it. He could feel the cold radiating from it, just as real as the warmth he had felt from. What were their names?
Clark was hyperventilating, trying to remember pointless details of the dream he’d been in.
“100,000,000 Gold Coins my ass, yeah…yeah right. I was.. I was just having a good dream.” Tears streamed from his eyes as he realized he was back to this dreary dorm, and as he attempted to stand, he immediately fell, banging his head against the fridge.
He was dazed for a second, but it didn’t really hurt. As the tears wouldn’t stop, he wrenched his eyes shut and smashed his head against the fridge. Then he did it again. And again, and again.
As he opened his eyes he saw his familiar, horrible dorm.
What happened?
