Chapter 27 by fenharel fenharel

Does she sway the crowd to her side?

They take her side

Citrinas swallows nervously, the eyes watching her causing her to freeze up. You thank Carnachias for giving up such a juicy weakness as you expect the nervous mage to stutter like before. As she speaks, you hear her voice quiver from terror, having no less than 100,000 eyes on her. Good, if she choked up, then it was that much easier for you to escape.

"Verdi is an alchemist who values solitude above all else. He's spent who knows how long on this mountain mixing potions." Citranas says shakily. Though she isn't completely confident, you can tell she isn't letting you off easily, but you know you have this in the bag. Your mental smile fades as you see the hero's stern face soften slightly at hearing your description. Oh shit, was she drawing a parallel between herself and you?

"He shunned human contact, thinking they were unneeded. He wanted nothing more than to be alone on his mountain." She continued, slowly walking over to Rohan. "He was alone until, one day, he spotted a group of dying elves. They had escaped Court Mage Leraje, but they were dying of disease and injury." The millisecond of confusion on Rohan's face was soon replaced with concern as he looked you in the eye. Though you had no telepathy skills, he knew of your true nature instantly.

"Despite that, he extended a helping hand, offering an entire battalions worth of healing potions to treat their injuries!" Citrinas exclaimed, only to be countered by Elmeria.

"No, I treated their injuries!" She said as Citrinas looked to Rohan. Rather than stare at his boots, she looked him in the eye.

"Rohan, say yes or no. Did Elmeria treat the injuries that Leraje inflicted upon your men?" She asked, forcing the elf to look away from her.

"No." He said shamefully.

"What happened?" Elmeria asked

"The lor-one before you treated us, gave us food, and helped us survive until you all arrived." He said, catching himself midsentence as he spoke.

"You were all starved and injured when we arrived!" Alkadabuki protested. "I saw Elmeria treat you!"

"They were self inflicted injuries." Rohan conceded, knowing that lying would do him no good. You soon realize where Citrinas was going with this.

"And why did you hurt yourself?" Tomoko asked, the hero now invested in the story.

"In exchange for our survival, we were asked to keep the existence of our benefactor a secret." Rohan said as the eyes of scorn directed at Citrinas turned to understanding. She continued talking, her voice no longer quivering. Oi, what the hell is happening!?

"Verdi, despite his desire to be alone, reached out and saved thousands of lives! As thanks for his hard work, he received naught but obscurity! Is that truly just or fair!?" She says as you take a step back, your plan now collapsing in itself. She was supposed to freeze up, stutter, look like an utter fool and psychopath for abducting a random person! They were supposed to let you leave, forget you existed, and bury this chapter away forever! You need to regain control!

"I fulfilled my obligation to them! Will you shame Rohan for failing to fulfill his obligation to me?" You ask, silently apologizing to Rohan for your words. He was a decent, no, a great elf, but you had to do something. Citrinas prepares to speak, only for the hero to raise her hand to silence her friend as she walked to the elf in silence. As she stood before him, she took in a deep breath and spoke to him. Her voice wasn't a booming roar, but a calm, almost soothing tone.

"This man has done a great service to us. To let him fade away would be a disservice to him." She says as she falls to a knee before him. Bowing her head, she continues speaking, her tone just as serene. "As the hero of light, I beg of you to stain yourself with the shame of a broken vow. I know I ask for the impossible, but I cannot permit such kindness to go unrewarded." She says as Elmeria steps forward. You mentally scream at her to get the hell away, only to watch the haughty arch bishop bow to him.

"Field Marshal Rohan, I too ask for you to stain yourself with such a sin. A broken word is no small task, but I beseech you and the goddess to avert your gaze just this once. It is the first I've seen my dear comrade Citrinas go so far for another, and I cannot let her courage for speaking or Verdi's kindness to go unheeded." She says as the other heroines join in, bowing to Rohan with the same plea. Soon, one of the knights nearby marches forward and falls to a knee before the elf. You don't even need to cast God's Eye to know this knight far outclassed Rohan, being second in combat prowess only to the heroines themself.

"Field Marshall Rohan. I have sworn oaths to my lord and have shattered none. I swear to you, if you are to be struck down for your shattered vow by the gods, let me bear the punishment and shame." He swore as the other knights followed suit. Soon, every soldier in the area had fallen to a knee, begging him of the same thing. The only people still standing are Rohan himself, Citrinas, and you. Soon, that changes as Citrinas marches forward and falls to a knee.

"Field Marshal Rohan, I beg of you to shatter your Vow. I have made many mistakes in my life. Perhaps asking this of you is another mistake, but I wish to show Verdi there is more to life than his small world atop this frigid land." She says as the elf bites his lip, his face still one of defiance. You grin, knowing that Rohan was truly a man among men. Even with the heroines blessed by the gods of light, his direct superiors, and the strongest beings in the forces of light from every race bowing down to him, his eyes were just as hard as ever. He was going to stand strong against them. He was truly the most honorable being in the world.

"Arch-Imago, I assume you have spent time with... Verdi." Rohan says while glaring at you, venom in his eyes. Warmth skill or not, he was a logical man. Letting a literal tentacle monster near the heroines was just asking for trouble.

"I have." Citrinas confirms.

"And why do you desire him? Is it his appearance? Is it truly his prowess you desire?" He asked, indirectly asking if she was a slut.

"I do not lie when both entice me, but that is not why I wish for him by my side." Citrinas answered without skipping a beat.

"Why do you desire him?" He asked, now curious while staring at Elmeria to detect lies.

"I believe we are two of a kind. We do not wish harm to the world, yet have no place within it. We've shunned others from our own weakness and justify it as resilience." She says as you try to object. She had autism and the power to fire nukes. You had about 3,000 tones of cock meat and a literal reservoir of sperm. One of you would have a BIT more trouble fitting in than the other!

"And you have decided to take him in because of that?" Rohan asked.

"I... See now that such a life without comrades is hollow and meaningless. You have my word that we shall either integrate into the forces of light or disappear from the world when our business is done." Citrinas said as Rohan clenched his fist. He looked to you, studying your face closely while trying to read something. He knew you were a tentacle monster. He knew what you were capable of. Tell them to ditch you! The fate of humanity depended on it you fool! As you read his face, you soon realize he was making a cost benefit analysis.

Citranas would randomly disappear on a whim for months on end without warning. She was a vital asset to the forces of light, but she couldn't be controlled. If leaving some tentacle monster with her would make her more predictable, it would save thousands, if not millions of lives. He wasn't being swayed by emotion, he was trying to see if his honor was worth jeopardizing the war.

"Verdi! Answer me this!" He asked while glaring not at you, but Elmeria. "Have you ever or will you ever harm, kill, defile, or **** an innocent human, elf, dwarf, or any other race of light!?" He asked as you realize the danger of the question.

"I have, and I will! **** me to stay with that woman and I will kill and **** her along with her friends! I will breed every woman I come across and kill every man in my path! I am a true monster!" You shout in one last vain attempt to get the crowd to go against you. Sadly, Elmeria's face was enough to tell Rohan everything. Stupid oath to harm no human. Stupid familiar talisman. Even the threat to **** the hero was an empty threat. Trying to **** or kill that thing? Like hell. That was just a fancy way of committing suicide. You weren't even a true monster, being some strange hybrid. Rohan throws you an apologetic look as he takes in a deep breath.

"Let it be known that I, Rohan, have dishonored myself! I have shattered an oath to the savior of both myself and my men! Let mud besmirch my name forevermore for my transgressions!" Rohan said as everyone cheered. Rather than looking down on the elf or spitting at the mention of his name, the crowd seemed to be proud he had broken his word. You too, were given the same treatment despite shouting that you were a serial killing **** out to defile the heroines. Thanks to Ariel screwing with your Humanity skill, your threats of **** and sexual crime sounded like a girl pretending to be scary. As you think back to just how you could have avoided this outcome, Citrinas had trots over to you with a smug grin on her face. You merely scowl, cursing your own body.

Apparently, the mind break add on can also treat autism spectrum disorders. Dick them down hard enough, and they'll do anything for another hit, even give a long speech in a massive crowd without stuttering or losing eye contact. Who would have thought?

"Nice try Verdi." She said grabbing you by the hand and casting domain, escaping from the crowd in an instant. "You aren't getting away that easily." The second you're alone, you pin her to the ground, ready to shift back into your true form and ravage her. If you couldn't avoid the heroines, might as well as make her regret taking you along.

"I will ruin you." You threaten as the alchemist grins.

"Good." She says as you mentally curse.

Right, this one was a pervert. If you were getting back at her, you'd have to be smart about it.

What do you do to her?
